So, Bin Ladin is out of here
Similar to the last year's "9/11 - Your Voices" I want to hear what you guys think about THIS too. Saadly, I don't hve time to make a massive journal about it, but there were a few points
- What do you feel about his death?
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
- How does this change anything?
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!

FA+

- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy? i'm not gonna say anything here, as i still dont really care
- How does this change anything? not in norway. we havent been exposed to a terrorist strike yet
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? nope
2) It may very well be either a conspiracy, or the fact that Bin Laden never existed at all - those are MY ideas, anyway.
3) It doesn't, since war between US and Irak should be finished and I don't have any definite news of it being so, and now they'll start a war with Europe.
4) I'm certainly afraid of saying what I'm saying, I don't want it to look like I'm against everything, but that's just my point of view and it shouldn't intervene in any of the relationships I have with people from any of those places around the world... Because if it was for that, I should be enemies with everyone, since most argentineans (where I am from) put stereotypes to anything that's foreign.
And I'm in the military! You'd think I'd care, but no, I don't.
I believe it can be a conspiracy, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it was. There will always be something that they never tell
in things like this.
I think it might make things worse for some. It will probably have changes tho not all for the best.
A lot say we are getting better as a people as a whole. But this shows that we are not. A lot of things I rather now say my feelings on.
As for my personal opinion, sometimes people need something to celebrate. I however won't be celebrating someones death.
War isn't a solution, yiff is it =D
2: Definitely dead. Obama was already hugely popular, it's not like he needed to fake something to make him more awesome.
3: Too early to say, but hopefully the bastards will be demoralised beneath their mock outrage. Crying on the inside.
4: It's just a shame that we won't get any good demotivational posters out of the photo.
2. No don´t believe it
3. It changes nothing because he isn´t dead
4. I think the Us just done a little deal he maybe just wanted to rest and live his live in peace so he made a deal with the us. And another thing the us are some kind of stupid.... they really believed that osama would go when he and his men killed the russians. Osama isn´t a bad man but the us are just stupid people inform yourself about his history okay? just let them be and they will let you be. believe me the us are the only reason why the taliban and al kaida are killing people
for another thing, to say someone is or isnt a "bad man" is a pretty bad term in itself. everyone has their own definition of "bad," so while you may agree with the charismatic ravings of an extremist, most would find that to be "bad." he was, essentially, the driving force. he organized this group of frustrated, angry people and gave them a target. a person with such charisma and influence could have done so much more good in the world (and by good, i mean perhaps saving lives rather than being responsible for taking them) than osama managed to do.
while i cant argue with the idea of doing a little research before coming to conclusions, perhaps you oughta do some homework yourself.
I was a little in rage when i wrote this...
But still most of what i´ve written is right.
But the truth about the looking of the US is that most people still love them.
You know i´m a german and in the news there is only Obama and how he killed Osama.
No critic nothing. It´s like the whole world is sleeping as it had slept as Hitler got the power.
No one! Really no one says anything. No one knows that the us military used Uran Ammo in his wars(In Afghanistan) Not even our soldiers know that they are in a territory were it has been used.
Thats how its looking. The Government of the US and the US itself are like gods for most of the people here.
i cant be sure how many people actually have that viewpoint though. pretty much everyone ive talked with about it agrees with me.
thats an interesting factoid, but i suppose it makes sense that they used iranian ammo. probably cheaper than shipping the american stuff.
that is pretty scary though, i have to say. God only knows whats possible once people stop thinking or asking questions or criticizing. like i said, it seems the brainpans of everyone ive willingly spoken to on it (which isnt really a lot of people to be honest) have been a bit more actively thinking rather than shutting their minds and opening their mouths like so many of the idiots who dance in the streets.
-I think he's already been dead. IF he ever existed. I mean, come on. How dangerous can he really be, hiding after ONE major attack? No videos? No "Death to America"-Recordings? Nothing? He never cared if someone would find his track by using these videos in the time after 9/11, so why should he start months after? For about ten years?
And then the president didn't even hear or see anything at the time the attack was actually performed, no photos shall be released, he's buried in the sea... Yes, that may have a logical explanation, but no lie is convincing i it's completely and utterly illogical.
-Nothing. His "death" won't bring anyone back. It could make some susceptible people happy for a while. So they can more easily be shocked and influenced, and another war may be declared.
Who's next? Which developing country shall we blast in the future? Namibia? Must be something there worth fighting for.
-I think I understand these people. Who would like democracy if it is presented to him shooting and bombing, screaming and killing? Freedom of Religion?! Don't make me laugh! Soldiers fight for democracy. Where? In Belarus? China? In Tibet? In Kasachstan, Russia, Burma? Angola? Don't get me wrong, just think: Where are our lots and lots of soldiers?
I tell you! Libya, Irak, Pakistan and all in and around Israel if needed.
People here see Muslims as a threat. Terrorists are all Muslims, right? And vice versa?
Is THAT what we call "Freedom of Religion"? What we call "Democracy"? People hating Muslims and celebrating ones death?
Well, f**k that is what I'd say in their position.
And it's been going like that for years.
Is THAT what we call "Freedom of Religion"? What we call "Democracy"? People hating Muslims and celebrating ones death?
i can definitely agree with this. many have clearly lost their vision on what it truly means to be an american. in fact i'd hug you, but somehow that doesn't seem right XD;
Most luckily can be convenience into the reality of things, and if that does not work, I have some Muslim friends who could talk to them, and if they start doing the retarded yelling of satanic qualities or what ever I might just record them yelling at the calm guy who's trying to talk with him and play it back to them and see if they notice who is the one who sounds the most violent.
hahaha, well said my friend, well said indeed.
2) Yeah, I think he's finally bought it.
3&4) For years since the attacks, he's been held aloft like a symbol; the face behind terrorism. The one man whose name would still evoke fear into Americans. The one man who evaded capture. Bin Laden was behind every tree, every shadow, every hiding place, just waiting for another chance to attack, like the Bogeyman. At least, that's what the American media kept reinforcing to the public day after day after day. How does this change anything? Well, I'm hoping, after the brouhaha of his death passes, more level heads will prevail when it comes to combating terrorism. Terrorism has been around before Bin Laden, it'll still be here after Bin Laden. At least the icon is gone... until the next icon comes along.
It's like any most wanted man, but honestly I could care less.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
They have been proven fake already they wouldn't let the photos out that easily.
However I do believe he is dead.
- How does this change anything?
Moral boost, the poster child for terrorism is dead.
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
Could go both ways.
2. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't dead. Then again, I don't care.
3. Don't know. Guess that's one notorious terrorist down...
4. No.
A little late, though.
2. I think he's dead. Honestly, if they wanted to fake it, they would have done it a little earlier so the military didn't look worthless for any longer than it had to be. (I'mma Marine BRAT, people. Don't question me.)
3. Nothing, really, other than the fact that a task is done. The next task is getting all the troops out of there because the whole idea has become pointless and stupid. You're never going to stop the fighting. Leave your favorite side some 'advanced' weapons and get out! >.<
4. Can we kill Beiber now? 8D
I agree that it's not right to celebrate anyone's death. However, celebrating their defeat is.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
I do think he's really dead. I don't think that withholding the photos is a conspiracy. That they're potentially inflammatory seems like a logical reason for withholding them. Showing them around would be like a footballer taunting the other team after making a goal/touchdown. And even if they did release the photos, that would not convince the tinfoil-heads. They would just claim the images are photoshopped.
- How does this change anything?
It doesn't. The war against terrorism goes on. Osama is just the one we wanted the most.
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
None
We do so much inflammatory shit 'in the name of free speech' and other horse crap and no one gives two shits. Something about this whole thing stink from the center of the Earth.
- No evidence to the contrary has been discovered, so for now I think he's dead. The immediate burial and the holding of the photo seems a little fishy, though.
- I think it changes very little. The families of 9/11 can have some closure, but sooner or later, he will be replaced and then we'll have to go after them, too.
I don't feel anything. Whether he's dead or alive makes no difference to me, just like anyone else that I don't know personally
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
Total conspiracy. I saw someone above me post that he has no reason to believe that he's /not/ dead. I'm still waiting on proof that he is. Rule 32, people...
- How does this change anything?
It doesn't. The rest of the world got over it years ago, and quite frankly, the US seems to have this opinion that they MUST police the entire world, imo. I just think it's silly. You don't see the rest of the world looking for problems outside their own countries, especially while trillions in debt (a trillian looks like this: $1,000,000,000,000). I just think the money could be spent better. Getting out of debt, perhaps?
And yes, I realize I'll have some haters who will want to gut me and fry me up for dinner cause of this. Go for it. At least it's honest
but I'm not about to celebrate someone's death like half my friends + my IRL mom.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy? Idk for sure o__o
- How does this change anything? I don't see how it does.
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? nope
Hide and seek champ is dead, and not a single shit was given.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
Yes, they wouldn't have said anything if he wasn't, and if he was all he would need is one appearance for a few seconds and boom impeachment for Obama
- How does this change anything?
Well the Taliban have now lost their leader and thus some direction, now we will hunt the next in line and so on and so fourth
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
umm, Chuck Norris?
Though there seriously needs to be less cheering. I mean, yea its a good thing he's gone. But cheering about the death of a man is wrong, even if he's a terrorist. I think this because then how does cheering about his death make you any better than the terrorists? Anyway, enough about Osama.
Don't care.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
Doesn't matter.
- How does this change anything?
It doesn't.
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
We have no idea if the whole thing is a sham, if the whole thing was planned to happen 8 years to the day bush declared 'mission accomplished', or if the entire thing was the real deal without background shenanigans.
It is positively cruel, immoral, and unjust that the people that dare to call themselves American citizens cried when a few men without a country committed murder on our soil, and then turn around to celebrate the murder of someone that had no direct impact on them.
The single biggest impact is that Osama won for all intents and purposes. The point of terrorism is fear; we let the fanatics take away freedoms that founded this country and Osama's death will not change the fear people here have of other people. The day everyone wakes up and realizes your neighbor is not plotting to kill you is the day I can smile and cheer about this.
I wish they captured him alive, and then in front of 10+ camera's he has to kneel on his bare kneels and readmit he planned the terrorist attacks and that he is sorry for his actions. And then, prisioned for life. Because killing him (like what's happened now) makes him a martyr.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
Even if the -valid- photos got published, it's still questionable if the -valid- photos are real. So imho it's uncertain if he is really dead.
- How does this change anything?
Not at all. In fact, the US has only killed the 'spokesman' of al-Qaeda. Because al-Qaeda is a decentralized network, with independent cells in every country (sharing not the same goals / ideals), this killing is just cosmetic. You could say, "Don't shoot the messenger".
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
Because there also some vague things about the 9/11 attacks ( like that there are no remains found of 'the plane' who crashed into the Pentagon, for example ) and now his 'vaguely' death. I dunno. Maybe the USA gov wants to kill him to cover something (maybe some crimes) what happened in the war between Afghanistan and the Sovjet Union in the 1980-ies ( at that war, the USA armed and financed Mujahideens like Osama bin Laden and his friends to fight the Soviets ).
Also, i rofled when i saw on TV how the Americans are yelling and partying at the streets, like the people in the Islamic World did when 9/11 happened. It's the reversed word~
yes, it could be a conspiracy or some weird act to convince the world he is dead when he is not, but that would seem foolish to me, all the details and debates that went on over television and the news make me feel he really has been murdered.
i doubt it will change much at all,
i dont have any other opinions or statments that haven't already been stated by
Do I think he's dead? Probably. But I'm far from taking our government at their word.
This does (perhaps conveniently) give us an excuse to pull our military out and cheer of victory. But I don't think it changes a whole lot in weather we SHOULD pull out any more than a year ago. There's plenty more nutjobs to take his Osama's place. What's needed there is a stable and sane system. Democracy would be a nice start, even though it tends to get corrupted quickly.
I am perfectly fine with another country helping out a countries people from a honestly screwed up system, but other then to possibly make sure they don't plan to put the people they just took off into power, they should allow the people to work it out themselves.
The most powerful countries in the world may have been helped in gaining their freedom at first but for example the US since were talking a bit about it it would not have lasted as long as it has so far if not for the fact that after France helped out they pulled out, they let the US do their own thing and after a short stumble thought up a reasonable Democratic-Republic (which most call a Democracy for some reason).
its odd to see how many have said that it doesnt impact them. i thought i was "weird" or "desensitized" when i said that at first, and now i realize, we're ALL desensitized. i'm 20 years old, all of this violence has literally been around for half of my life. i mean, i heard the news, heard it was DNA confirmed, and went back to playing robot unicorn attack.
- Do you truly believe he's dead, or is the fact they are with holding the photos of his headshot a conspiracy?
honestly, i dont see the point in a conspiracy. as fun as theories are to toss around with your buddies every once in a while, really, with all the debt we're in, i dont see how any kind of conspiracy couldve ever benefitted us. the guys dead. as far as refusing to reveal the photos is concerned, i think that was definitely a wise choice. i cant deny, some part of me was more than a little disappointed, but in the long run, we dont need that floating around so every patriotic fanatic can get their hands on it and burn it in the middle of some bumfuck nowhere field. we have enough hate material circulating, we dont need his photo.
- How does this change anything?
what does it change? there are folks out there who look to bin laden the way many in the US look to jesus and john lennon. killing a man doesnt kill his ideas. proving him wrong might, but its gonna take more than guns to do that.
- Any other opinions you guys have about this situation? Let's hear it!
not really. im just nervous to see how his supporters have taken this. i have a feeling this has potential to bite us in the ass in the long run.
- If he isn't dead, he isn't dead and you don't need to go spreading conspiracy rumours about it.
- FOr me? It doesn't really, I barely ever noticed him.
- Let's hear it! Only other opinion is that people should stop celebrating his death, it was murder plain and simple and you people are celebrating murder.
