The whole story behind it - a quick view at 3 years of story

General
forevernomad mentioned something about receiving odd stares when live roleplaying. I think I should mention that LARP is a big thing here in Germany. There are a few thousand players - and a whole industry of smaller and bigger shops where you can buy equipment such as weapons and chain mail or plate mail, knights' tents and many other things. But of course most of the costumes are hand made (at least partly) by the players themselves. But I promised more story. Mythodea is about the eternal struggle between the elements and the forsaken anti-elements
Where Fire is hot and chaos, there is Black Ice, the perfect cold order
Where Earth is the top soil for all life, there is the Undead Flesh, the perversion of that once was alive
Where Water is clean purity, there is the Oily Pestilence, harbringer of diseases.
Where Air is the breath of all living being, there is the Void, the nothing
And where Magic is the mystical force, there is the Technical Ratio.
The story continues, year after year. And here is the trailer to 2011's story (a good recap of what has happened 2010):

Confused? Well - maybe the recap of what happened in 2009 (inside the trailer for Mythodea 2010) will help:

And here is the recap of what happened in 2008 (inside the trailer for Mythodea 2009) - unfortunatly it is only available in German. But I guess the impressive pictures here should speak for themselves:

And one of the reasons I mentioned LARP being so strange to the general populous is because people in America are too reserved in things that don't stem from creativity and imagination. People here like to say they "outgrow" imagination when really no one does. Methinks Germany has the right idea here because it's not imagination leading to immersion, it's immersion leading to imagination.
