OK... lets see...

My very first furry memory was back when I was 13 in 2005... I was getting to know more about my ABDL side and I found some babyfur art... I thought it was very cute, but I never thought about becoming one until just last year when I was 18 almost 19...
Well, during the course of the years I had become more acquainted with the furry community, looking at art and comics and stuff... and as I said, just until recently have I come to terms in defining myself as a furry (a babyfur to be more precise)...

So yeah... I am now proud to be part of the furry community... I think it's this year that I have done more furry activity than in my entire life (subscribed to like 5 furry-oriented sites and done more furry art than evar!!)

Yeah everyone seems to always have at least one if not many distinct memory's when they were young relating to something furry. Yeah, im the same, I found out about furries ages ago, probs late last year from the CSI epi and then I kind of just forgot about it after looking at so much furry art and then this year Ive gotten back into it, I was persuaded into creating an account on FA and so here I am, living the furry life. I have realized that since ive been meeting furries that there are a fair few with problems like autism, ADHD (ADD), Aspergers syndrome, depression, anxiety disorders and such, its quite shocking. I guess being a furry helps find themselves.........oopps, sorry I trailed off a bit there.

no, no... you were getting to a point there... some furries (like me) have problems and found that being a furry is their solution to such problems... here, i'll share something with you...

my life wasn't all sooo happy nor was it all sooo sad... it was more in the middle pointing a little towards the sad side... and basically i couldn't find a place to fit... i was always picked last, never had many friends, always misunderstood, always made fun of, and tons of other life problems... but when i found about the furry community and actually tried it, well... its like this:

"I am a puzzle piece trying to fit into this world, only to find that there was no puzzles that I could fit into... and the only puzzle i found was the furry community, where I am happily part of an entire masterpiece!!"

that's a metaphor i kinda made up but it expresses how i feel about my life and baing a furry...

hehe, awwww what a lovely metaphor. Yeah I understand what your trying to say and I agree, its not just strange or weird it does hold and serve a purpose. Like Xavier's school for the gifted, with the "mutants", misunderstood, had life problems and found comfort with this wonderful community. I know I have, I feel so at home here, I connect with people so much more easily.
