So I've Decided. -LEAVING-
I'm leaving Furaffinity for good.
I cant take this anymore, not feeling like I belong, not knowing where I stand with anyone.
Its just a bunch of faceless people on the internet here, and all I've known is pain and suffering from some.
So here it is, my two weeks notice, I'm gone.
Everything in my gallery will be deleted and my journals will as well.
It was fun, while it lasted but this is not my place any longer.
Thanks for all your support.

my email is
nicolebednertheblackvixen[at]gmail.com
but I noticed when you did (didn't turn into comments, mind you,
but then an awful lot of posts don't).
Did notice, however, that your writing was serious, eloquent,
thoughtful. Far from frivolous (as are an awful lot of posts). And on
a few occasions damn serious. Given the topics.
Not to mention the significant story between you and Adam.
You've shared a lot about that.
Added up, it counts as a good thing that this person is on FA, is my
reasonable opinion. There's no particular shortage of people who we
could all wish *weren't* on FA. You're certainly not one of them.
Unfortunately, FA being FA, it does sound like you've tangled with
one too many of these people. Oh yah, like you really need more trouble
right about now (given what's going on in RL).
You don't logon on to this place to make yourself feel worse. But
surprise, that's what's been happening more and more.
Just over two years of fun (while it lasted), as you say, but there's
been no small amount of crap along with the fun. And a characteristic
of crap is that it does tend to pile up. And smell.
Annnnd none of this could be a correct read on things; I know this.
You guess in the dark, you're gonna trip over furniture. But I doubt
I'm far wrong.
But who could have warned you? That this would happen? Two years
ago, here's this portal into furry fandom, looks easy, simple to use,
bound to be lots of good furs around (and there are; Lord, 250,000
users, they can't all be scum).
Me, I'm five months into it around here. And nervous, and a bit
forewarned, and expecting a few random bolts of nastiness. Saying
this doesn't help you [now], of course.
And I'll say this next cautiously: running into trouble here does
not precisely mean you *have* to leave, y'know?
I've noticed people are in the habit of changing accounts. I sense
that sometimes this is because they've commited considerable
stoopidity and want a fresh, semi-anonymous start with a fresh
fursona (until other people find out who they are due to repeated
dumbness).
Is a new fursona and account an option for you?
Alternate: simply take a vacation. Get the smell out of your nose.
Then come back and 'reboot,' if you like. Some old friends, reconnect
with them. Others, unwatch, delete, forget 'em.
FA's littered with dormant accounts. I doubt I'm onto a new
idea here. Some vacations are permanent, some will come back. The
accounts are still here (interesting feature about FA; I was puzzled
about it).
I'll close this now. This is 'social networking' country we're
in, and there's good to be found around here, and there's sometimes
surprising amounts of awful to be found. Like any city?
How to stick around (after being burned by some of the awful), well,
that's a tricky one. I may have to deal with that myself at some
point.
But first you have to decide to stick around. Worth a try?
