What a difference a year makes...

Ahh as 2011 winds down, I thought it time to sit down and reflect upon the past 12 months. Amazing how a year can completely change one's view.
After My separation from My former mate, I sank into the pits of despair. I knew in My soul that the paths chosen were for the best but what the soul knows, the heart often denies.
Last winter I tried very hard to drown My sorrows deeply having given so much of Myself and desperately trying to hold onto the pieces of My shattered heart.
It was a long winter.
I am grateful to My dear close friends who helped Me thru such a difficult time, that I likely would not have emerged from without their care and guidance.
With the spring came new hope, a charming, sweet, loving husky crossed My path and in rescuing him from his own traumas, he sparked the flames of a fire I had tried for months to keep doused and drowned...
The warmer months came upon Us and with all the blossoms of spring, came the fruition of summer and I declared My new emerging feelings and hopes for the future, to this dear soul, and to My utmost delight We decided to travel the path of life together as mates.
The fall came, with the rich bold colors of autumn and every day that We spent living together served to strengthen Our relationship and prove the beautiful caring spirit that lives with in him.
And now as winter once again descends upon Us I look more and more forward to the future paths We shall travel, paw in paw, beside one another, adding to one another's strengths and supporting each other in times of weakness. I delight in having this wonderful being to curl up with and share the warmth of Our bed and each other. Knowing that when We wake, it is one another, who's eyes We will look into and say good morning My Love...
Each time I sing the words to the song that We have taken on as Ours, I realize I could not say it any more perfectly...
