Not sure how to phrase this as a question, but I really hope there will never be a repeat of Rick-rolling the dancers. I and many others were really upset. It's so disrespectful to the folks who sacrifice so much of their free time and energy to perform. I know the two dancers involved were very upset as well.

i know that >.>;; was not the best choice and this time after the DJ make their song list i need to go through them myself (this year was all sorts of crazy) so many things going out of my control. song was a big thing this year that was a big problem, next year will be addressed accordingly. i talked to them myself not happening again. errors are made and we deal with them (we are only furry) all i can say is next year will be better and no troll music.

genre yes song choices i left to the DJ as it would not be fair if i chose themm and knew about them :P he of course did not know who was bracketed where either. i tried and made this as even as possible. but don't bop him he did his best as a DJ i just should have laid more ground rules is all.

I'm sorry, but I disagree.

There's never, in today's day and age, any reason any sane DJ would queue that (or some other songs like Hamster Dance off the top of my head) up except as a joke, a false-start "Oops my bad" moment at the start of something.

That he seriously thought it was okay to play that song (or ANY trollish song) during the actual competition was beyond disrespectful, period, and that he'll hear about it for a year or two should be expected after that grandstanding stunt.

That wasn't "his best" as a DJ? Bullshit. That was extremely childish and immature.

i understand and he should not have played that yes, was not the best idea at the time. trust me it will not happen again.

As a dancer and a b-boy/tricker, I was seriously disappointed in the freestyle portion of the competition.

One...if you're gonna have a dance-off with two dancers...you NEVER have them go at the same time...EVER~ >:|

Two...never mix two dancers with a COMPLETELY different dance style together

Three...(and this is important) ALWAYS LET THE DANCER CHOOSE THEIR OWN SONG

Four...to keep the crowd jumpin' with two dancers on the floor at the same time, the DJ in charge needs to know how to mix back and forth between the songs that the dancers chose for when it's their turn to jump back in. For example, dancer 1 is dancing to his song, while dancer 2 is mocking/taunting the other dancer in a playful manner, 30 seconds are up, the song is mixed into the dancer 2's song and he starts his routine, while dancer 1 gets to mock/taunt the other dancer for about 30 seconds. This happens about a total of 6 times, making it around 3 minutes long. Not rocket science here...

Hopefully the trainwreck that happened this year won't resurface during next year's competition...
