Well, it's been a while since I've really given an update on my life, so I figured I'd let anyone who might be wondering know what's going on.
Well, I've been living in Harrisburg, PA the last month and a half and in another month and a half I'm looking to move yet again. *sighs* Gotta move where my mom goes because I'm dependent on her right now and she moves around a lot because she's a travel nurse. I could move in with my dad, but because of my cat and my snake, that's not a possibility without leaving my pets behind, which I don't wanna do. It's not because of him, but his roommate. She is freaked out by snakes. Also, her dog would scare the shit out of my cat and she wouldn't be able to wander around. So right now, I'm stuck living with whatever choice my mother makes. Of course, that's gonna be changing soon.
For the last few months, I've been trying to get into grad school. After applying to 9, all but two contacted me, offering me an invitation to visit. Two made offers before even interviewing me. After seeing 5, I've ultimately settled on UCR(the University of California in Riverside). I'll be entering in the fall into the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology program. Right now, my main interest is in protein structure/function with an emphasis on protein crystallography, but since I have 4 or 5 rotations, I'm still keeping my mind open to the possibility of ultimately doing research in other areas. So I guess I'll soon be a SoCal fur. :D At least for 4 or 5 years I will be. I can't wait. I'm so excited. ^.^ That being said, I'm gonna need to find a place to stay, which means rent for the first month plus a deposit, plus a pet deposit(though I might be able to wait on that one). Also, I might try and get a new vehicle before I move so that I don't have to try and fix this one up so that I can get it registered. Oh, so much to do, so little time.
Other than that, nothing going on. My birthday is coming up and I'm going over to New York to celebrate. I'll be making AC. Other than that, don't have any plans for cons as I will be way too busy to go to any.
