I don't want the damn lemons
As some of you may have noticed, my online and/or social presence has become even more lacking than usual this past month, so I think a "State of the Eevee" sorta thing is in order, kinda to update why I've been so.. non-existent as of late. Life keeps handing me lemons, but there is no lemonade, only piles of lemons. >.< Some of them combust, some make me do the "expensive-luxury cat" angry face, and some lemons have been useless at doing their citrus-ly duty in fighting disease..
About a month-ish ago I got sick, really sick, like the flu and bronchitis had a baby (last time I got this sick was after playing through Sonic '06, which is another story and illness all its own, and this was somehow worse). I spent almost two weeks being super fevery, congested, coughing out lungs filled with smaller coughing lungs, and generally miserable, I couldn't say half a sentence without a coughing fit. But eventually, I got better. After finally getting over this, I decided to fire up my ol' laptop in celebration to play some League of Legends, then suddenly my video card took that 'fired up' bit almost literally. After my card was torched that cut of the only convenient communication I had with most of everyone, other than my phone which is slow for typing and my dinosaur of a desktop. <.< About a week later I started working again, unfortunately for.... the clown *shudders* (the fast food establishment one). The hours are long, at odd increments end (shift at 7pm, come back at 7am, I swear they have a secret dartboard somewhere to determine one's shifts), the required shoes make my footsies sore, and dealing with rude customers and sometimes even ruder managers/higher-ups can wear a guy down pretty fast. So more-or-less between pain, stress, and general blargh-ness my days have been: wake up, work, stupidly early break, work, come home, sleep. Leaving very little waking time for this 'vee to do well... anything :/
So in short, apologies to those I've fallen out of contact with, once I get everything back up to speed on the laptop I'll be on a bit more. In the meantime I'll be fighting to keep my job until I find a real job suited to my field (Psychology - mostly suited for Developmental/Educational Psych and Industrial/Organizational Psych work.... so social worker, counseling/consulting, HR, etc). If anybody, even out of state, knows a decent/good company hiring specifically for a Human Resources type position (or anything that says B.S. in Psych is a qualification) please, PLEASE let me know so i can shoot a resumé in that direction. ^^; The sooner I can put in my two weeks at this place the better x.x Now I get to go back to bed, to wake up even earlier for my next shift <.< I really do miss talking to all of you :(
