Hello one and all!

Last year I set myself the goal of making a bunch of animation-quality backgrounds. Disney-level quality was my target. Would I hit that mark? Might as well take a swing at it. The exercise would be good for me. Then I had an idea. I figured I'd plug my own characters into these settings eventually. Why not make them available to fellow artists in the meantime?

This year, starting now, I am putting my plan into action. The second Collaborative Background has just been plugged into my gallery. I'll announce every new piece of shareable art as it arrives. Berbie's Background Bonanza begins now!

Here's how it works. If you'd like to be part of the mailing list, PM me your email addy. When I upload the file to Sendspace, every person on the list will get the full-size PS file to play with. All that I ask in return is that you give me credit and a link once you post your piece. I mean it when I call this collaboration; you can tinker with the background as much as you like or not at all. Each image will provide at least two or three possible loci for characters to be placed.
