I'm wondering how he'd end the world in a short story...

Short story trades... okay, fascinated, must inquire further.

1) Become aroused, and stay aroused. IF what you're writing about doesn't keep you aroused anymore, leap onto the next idea that does keep you aroused, regardless for how well it matches what's going on. A story that involves a squirrel herm expanding and swelling /can/ (and has) suddenly switched from hypergrowth to that same squirrel being 1 foot tall and gving a BJ to hir boyfriend.
2) Start writing and keep writing. Even if it's gibberish.

I find that I can't write unless I'm doing something else to keep me from going absolutely insane. I find that when I sit down and write, staring at nothing other than that black text on white screen, it irks me and I do something else.

So I do other things. I always, always listen to music that suits the scene I'm writing - be it sad music to happy music to exciting music to lovey music. It helps in the flow of things I think. I also RP while I write so I'm not just focusing on the riting alone, and I can take a break to keep my creativity sharp by some other means.

... I find Echoen's advice only works when you're writing pr0n... In which case, it's very true. Write erotic literature when you're horny, it helps.

Considering I'm an extremely visual thinker and empathetic I dont' get "bored" writing... more times then not I end up masturbating cause I'm getting distracted O_O* as for doing trades I'm not sure I'm good enough to do a trade.... not to mention being sick has not motivated me to churn out the 4 stories I've started that are in various stages of development -_-*

well for me i write in inspirational chunks it is often why i break my storys into chapters but i belive staying focused is a mater of perspective its easy to write if you know what your going to be writing and you just need to have the proper inspiration and actualy want to put your thoughts to paper.... ya know i dont know if this is awensering your question or even being helpfull

I... fail miserably at the staying focused thing. Not so much a problem for work (deadline or die! Go go go!) but when it's hobby activity about the only time I remain committed is when I'm crunching together some work on requests from people I like. Guess I just need outside reinforcement, which does not seem to be the case for many writers.

I have ADD, so keeping focused on writing is hard- I generally have something else open, usually a game, so every few minutes I can switch to refresh my attention- remember to go back to writing, though!

Pfft, and here I was hoping I could write a short story for ya and get a cute picture with those soft curves and lines you're so good at. XD
