You ever hear of this guy named Tyler, the Creator?

RAP ISN'T MUSIC ACCORDING TO THE DEFINITION OF MUSIC
DIDN'T YOU HEAR
To some people, if it's not underground, it's not.. real. It's "sold out".
Whatever. And if I hear one more person hype about Odd Future..
As you said,
Let me bang my waka
But then again, let me listen to Common, too
And fuck B.O.B.
Deuces.
Man...I grew up listening to everything. Jazz, blues, hip hop, soul, metal, funk, disco, country, bluegrass, classical. Pop, new wave... I mean, from the time I was born ('74) till now, there isn't a moment of the day when I don't have SOME kind of music going on in my head. Music is the soundtrack to my life. I could never be down on any kind of music, any kind of expression. It's like looking at art, hell it's like breathing sometimes. So many important moments in my life wouldn't have had as much impact as they had if it weren't for the fact that the perfect song was playing at just the right moment.
I get not being into things, but to go so far as to depreciate the musical choices of others or close your mind to certain kinds of music just because you feel a certain musician has 'sold out'..I don't get it. I personally feel that Metallicas music doesn't resonate within me anymore. That doesn't mean I'm going to begrudge them the ability to keep making it or insult someone for listening to or liking them.
i dunno. lolhumans?
