To be honest, I've never actually smelled a wet dog. :)
But dogs' general smell is not a pleasant one from my point of view. Not enough for me to puke, but still...

Well, if I was given just one wish, that wish most certainly wouldn't be related to interspecies transformation :) Total disappearance of arms (arms being weapons, not those fleshy appendages :), a cancer/AIDS cure or at least the ability (for everyone) to live up to 200 years (plus autoregulation of fertility for Muslim and African countries) - that's more like it. Unified non-oppressing religion would be nice too.

Anyways, I think a pine marten would be nice. But impractical - their lives are somewhat short. Even so, if someone would take me home as a pe.. err, a friend, that would be fine.
Furries always need to remember that the question of preferred species is only valid when someone wants to preserve his/her memory. If you have no memory, there's no difference what you are. I think in that case I would choose a rock.

Sounds like you have think about this for a long time. But I´m really happy whit your answer =) If someone did ask me that thing i probably just answer wolf/dog in a happy family. But that one wish dont assure that I´m will end up in a happy family hehe. But i love dogs. And sometimes there life seems so easy with there talking and no lies and so on. Just to be =)

1. Assuming I want at least someone dead (which I do not). Depends on the duel type, but the answer most probably would be "no". I don't really want to dramatically increase my chances to die. So, tar and feathers.

2. Herms, herms! ..Well, no. I was talking about average "raw" intelligence. Females have their strong points too. But thinking usually isn't one of them.
On the other hand, both males and females are degrading these days (*drools*) and their relative downward velocity is unknown to me.

3. Define "religion". I think the faith in omnipotent (or just overly potent) supernatural beings isn't necessary by itself. But blind atheism isn't the way to go either - it's somewhat hard (but not impossible) to teach morals and ethics without a strong basis. The straightforward concept of head meats that are all there is to a man just isn't very.. strong. Meats are expendable. Souls aren't.

Tar and Feathers Gun is in dire need of being invented.

Raw thinking didn't get us machos very far, too(no "you're browsing one of those achievements right now" retorts, please ;3). We've got at least as many problems and quirks as it is. But I can see your point.

"Religion" as an institution composed of rites, beliefs and social application of latter. Faith is another matter entirely. It is said that pure atheism takes just as much faith as it's opposite, so scientific approach to this matter is a tad more accurate. Ultimate Theorem sounds almost as catchy as Divine Trinity ;3 And if it's impossible to persuade a person that killing, torturing and enslaving another living being is bad enough without further implications of bad karma and afterlife retribution, then probably it's a lost cause to begin with.

Sorry, for now I will doubtly add anyone to my watchlist. FA watchlist system is kind of uncomfortable for me.
What is uncomfortable about FA's watchlist system?

If someone on my watchlist posts _something_, FA doesn't give me a choice but to go to the message center and watch it. And click the "clear all" button.
LJ (f. ex.) friends system is way better for me - you just have a separate message stream you can watch anytime you like. No annoying numbers hanging in your upper right corner.

The thing is that FA's watch system was never meant to replicate a friend lists. It has it's sole purpose to deliver updates on the galleries of the people you happened to be watching. People just use it this way, even if they'll always be clicking the "remove all" button.

As for LJ, hmm, I do have numbers at the top of my page saying how many messages I've got, and that kind of information. Replies to journals I've posted to, and my comments. I can watch them if I like, or I can skip them and watch them later. Same principal as here. Don't know, perhaps you're talking about some other thing on LJ.

Also, no, I'm not trying to have an argument, just explaining things :)
