Drawing artwork should be something you enjoy doing for yourself, not for popularity, which seems to be your only goal. Yes, it does suck that a lot of great artists go unnoticed around here, but that's life, and you move on. I've met plenty of great artists on here who will always be willing to give critique and advice on how to better yourself as an artist despite the fact there are some who are pretentious assholes.

Two,  Eviscerator is right. Parody art is for shits and giggles. However, you draw other people's private characters doing things they wouldn't draw themselves is wrong morally and personally. Sure, it's just artwork, and not harming anyone physically, but artwork is expression & emotional, and thus when you draw their characters getting gang-raped and etc. without permission, it's just as violating and harmful as doing so in RL.

I understand you wanted to show your love & admiration for those artists in your own unique art style, but some artists have very personal feelings towards their fursonas, and while it's flattering to some, if they ask you to stop, then that's where you draw the line and understand that the fursona doesn't belong to you and you must respect that person's feelings.

No, you do not have the right to draw what you want when it involves someone Else's intellectual property. While someone may not own a copy right to a character, they do still have rights in regards to the character that they created. It is also considered to be extremely rude and not appropriate to draw other people's characters without their say-so.
They are sitting here complaining about how this fandom has 'shit' on them, but it seems to me that they have done everything to deserve it. This attitude of "I can do what I want so fuck all of you." would turn most anyone off to wanting to associate with someone and it is simply childish and unflattering.

It is harder for corporations because of the mass, wide spread, amount of fan art out there. They must also weigh into account that if you piss off all of your fans by suing everyone who makes fan art/plushies/costumes/cupcakes/whatever, then you will start loosing your fan base and thus your money, because if everyone is pissed off at your company then most of those people will stop buying your merch.

Artists like the average Joe here on FA do not have that problem, most of their business comes from people who like their art style and want art from them, not always people who love a character and want art of that character. Thus artists like us can be much more discriminating about what we want to allow to be done with our characters. It's all about picking and choosing your battles and knowing what will and will not effect the majority of your business.

It is also different with fursonas especially, as they are generally made to represent a person and tend to hold a personal place in that person's heart or may even be a direct representation of them, just in animal form. Imagine how you would feel if someone was drawing porn of YOU... For some people that is what like having their fursona drawn is like, having a picture of themselves drawn.

Well it is not just opinions, as it does come down to legalities as well, since, as I mentioned, people do have certain legal rights to their own intellectual creations.

I respect that you might find it funny to have porn drawn of you, each person will interpret that sort of situation differently, but personally, I would find it creepy, especially by a complete stranger whom you've never even spoken to, or have only spoken to in passing.

Eh, I think if you are a creative person then you can create lots of things without stepping on the toes of other people. Creating pornographic work of another person's character, especially if it is their 'fursona' could be seen by the owner of that character as being "offensive towards" that particular user's personal beliefs in how that character should be handled. It also could be seen as being harassing or an attempt at mob tactics to encourage others to create pornographic material of that character with the fore knowledge that the owner does not want such things to happen.

Let's not just talk about the TOS, also look at the AUP:

Personally, I learned about copyright in college, the School of Visual Arts. Manhattan. And payed for a formally registered copyright for one of my characters back in 1999. for a character like okami, its an incredible hassle to ask for permission as the artist isnt well known and is difficult to reach, but here, there is no excuse for not asking permission. you can be inspired by someones character but you MUST ask before using it when they are so easy to reach, if i wanted to draw zajice sitting on a mountain i should ask zajice if i could because its his character, not mine, and it would be easy and take a few seconds to send the message.

and typically, characters by major corporations are liscensed as public domain as long as you meantion "i do not own this character, all copyrights and characters are owned by:____"

but this is someone elses character who ISNT public domain. you should always ask for permission, its seriously incredibly easy.

I've been pretty much ignored in the "fandumb" for a long time and compared to my friends that are with me, I'm a ghost even sitting directly next to them. I understand that it kinna feels like favouratism or that more popular people seem to bend the rules more than others, but still...

...there is kind of a difference between drawing a mainstream character in popular culture and drawing an artist's character on a community... primarily, it's the simple fact that the community artist will likely find out.

And, it's not like mainstream character designers don't get pissed off when people do art of their characters. The creator of Bayonetta got his panties in a twist when other people were drawing porn of her (a witch who wears her hair in a catsuit, disrobes to do large spells and drips with euphanism every moment of the day).

What you draw is up to you, sure... but I would suggest you be a bit more considerate when uploading... if you don't ask an artist if it's okay to upload, you're going to get backlash (I assume you have already) by the artist themselves or fans of them. It's ugly and not worth it. Simply note them or link the picture when you upload. If they request it to be removed, remove it. Either way, at the very least, credit the artist... a lot of flak can be avoided if you credit the character's creator.

If you don't do any of this, simply put, people can get upset. Some might feel you "stole their character" without permission and others may simply not like their characters drawn in a certain way (IE: porn) or even with a certain person (say if the artist's "fursona" is being drawn screwing someone who isn't their RL boyfriend's fursona).

Basicly, it's all about tact and understanding - you might like it if someone does fanart for you, but what if one of your characters is being depicted in a way you simply wouldn't like... quality of art being beside the point? Furthermore, if you were browsing an imageboard and found such a picture of one of your characters in one of these unfavourable pictures, wouldn't you feel a little odd... violated even that someone did that and you never knew? That's possibly how some of these people feel... and that's pretty much what you need to consider when uploading pics of other people's characters. That's why people often ask permission or credit the person.

It's nice you like the character, but please respect the creator and their wishes too. Otherwise, things will just get worse wherever you go. Even if you get banned or run away from FA, people will know about this and pretty much follow you around. Journals like this tend to get burned into the memories of the "fandom" and sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica help keep the memory alive.

Yeah... I'm sorry, but while parody is legal and considered fair use, it's shit like this that sparked me to create an AUP for my character last year. There are certain things I don't want my character being drawn doing, and as an intellectual property holder I reserve the right to control it. It's called having respect, and it's earned, not given. Just because you can pick up a pencil and make something beautiful doesn't give you the right to subvert the control of what private individuals create. Corporations don't force you to get permission partially because it isn't worth their time to grant the permissions and the lawsuits are more expense than they're worth. Furries won't really sue you either, but they will destroy your reputation quite handily, as evidenced here. So you want the fandom's respect, why not follow the fandom's rules.
