The basic definition of a paradigm is like "putting on a pair of glasses that allow you to see the world in a set viewpoint." So, if you have multiple paradigms, you see things in multiple ways. And on that, I believe that your method of thought tends to lean toward a reserved thought process of logic, but slightly open to things that make sense within or outside of your own logic.

I don't always believe those that harm others have had no-one there for them. (I wonder about this man who did the Batman movie shooting...allegedly, of course.) Some people are just that way and like being toxic. I cannot befriend those types, once I know how they are.

Actually, there is some proof that people who tend to do violent (and criminal) acts usually have noone that truly showed love and affection for them when they were younger, so they take it out on others for attention. Psychology backs this, as well as some of my own empathic foresight into others...from everything I've witnessed, people act out because of a feeling that they desire something. Otherwise, why do anything to cause others harm at all?

I will admit it's imperfect...pain can happen. But neutrality in everything can solve nothing if something arises, save for taking time to examine...which is also what I try to do. Rarely do I get heated unless defending someONE, rather than someTHING. If anything...I take brunt of things...and do so for the sake of friendship. Otherwise most of my discussions end up like this one...Logical agreement to disagree, but not yield my opinion.
I also fear losing friends via miscue or misstep. I have erred before. I wrote a journal. (About me...Just because) detailing this. But I value my independent thought too much to yeild it and give in on something I hold close to my heart. Conflict shapes people...and friendships. The best ones endure...because they understand the dynamic of give-and-take. It keeps things strong, so that no difficulty can't be overcome through mutual effort. "In my opinion..." ;3
*next subject* The key words are "tends to..." Not everyone who has had a bad upbringing repeats it later in life, while some people can be loved by everyone...and be monsters. Either something inside these people defies the psychological evidence, or the "human factor" of unpredictability is just that...unpredictable.

It depends on what the subject is, that neutrality solves nothing. In some cases, it can solve a lot of things. Due to a thought of neutrality, it makes me more able to embrace the opinions of others on a more logical level, since no emotion is attached. It also means that I can more easily see where someone is coming from, and figure out what may be best in a situation, to say or do to help them feel at ease. I'm not always neutral, but when I am, that's how I work. But, when I'm not so neutral, I'm more opinionated. I suppose a balance should be kept between opinions and neutrality, but...I don't know how to meet that happy balance. So I try to figure out how to be truly neutral first, then work on the balance later.
Honestly, I've made very (very) stupid mistakes too...some tend to see me as a dramawhore, which may be true, despite how much I detest drama...yet somehow I tend to create it on occasion. It's usually due to a huge lapse of rational thought. It's when I'm enraged, where I lose all rationality, and there are very few things that cause me to be enraged. The biggest one is when one of my friends is being manipulated, even if I don't know it as fact. I will confront whoever may be doing the act, and I will not back down...but another thing I'll do is probably warn people that I am angry, so that they won't get in my way. If they do get in my way, I may accidentally hurt them...but it's never intentional at that time, it's literally all on instinct.
I'd have to go with that latter on that. It's part of my own "neutrality" theory. If there's someone that is so genuinely kind that endures so many hardships they never want to make anyone repeat them (I'm an example of this myself), then there must be someone that, who has been given so much love and kindness, they feel so secure in themselves that they feel nothing in causing pain. It would only make sense...if there's an equal and opposite of others in this world, then it would only stand to reason.

I can agree with having a balance between opinions and neutrality. If I see someone making choices that could endanger themselves or people they care about, for example, I will voice my opinions on the matter. There are many things I try to remain neutral on...but some things I simply cannot, mainly due to inner caring.
I'll agree with your third paragraph, save for the last part. I do everything I can to keep emotions in check if someone pops in at the wrong time. There is either no indication on my part, or I ask to speak later for whatever reason.
I tend to see it as a little of both. Science / psychology cannot explain all things. There will always be unpredictiability. "Humans have no user's manual."
