Panel idea

Would there be any interest in a fursuit anatomy panel? Basically an anthro anatomy panel with a focus on applying it to suiting.

-Does this fursuit make me look fat?
-Digi legs: A brief discussion of what is being simulated
-Paws
-Tails

Some of the stuff on heads was covered in the suiting panel at AC. It would be nice at FC. It kills me to see professional makers make heads without cheeks....brows or make flat cheeks, but i am more on the realistic outline side then ultra toony i guess.

Don't all fursuits make folks look fat? I mean the fur if its long pile.. adds 3 inches

That bullet point is actually about how a certain amount of bulking up is inevitable and expected. Trying too hard to avoid it will make you look like Crazy Joe and will probably be a proportions error in itself since the head will end up more padded out than the body.

Sounds interesting to me too. I'm curious about the "Why most suits have dog faces" topic.. are you referring to just how so many fursuits have a sort of canine muzzle look to them or something else?

Pretty much that, how suits tend to have distinctly caniform muzzles even if the animal they're based on doesn't. It makes sense that people do that because the shape's familiar and easy to make. And that's fine, you can make a perfectly good looking head that isn't anatomically correct, but that isn't the topic of this discussion.

My dogs apparently look like cats. So do my otters I would like to remedy this.

I never really saw a problem myself, but if I had to guess I'd say it's the horizontal/vertical balance. Dog heads are about as tall as they are wide, perhaps a little taller. Cat heads and Maybe's are wider than they are tall. If you always make your heads to about that same shape and proportion then they would tend to look subtly feline.
