I can understand. Two of my best buds are mated to one another, they will be married within the next few years. I always tell myself I'm not emotionally strong enough to handle a relationship, or rather, all the problems that come with one, yet I find myself heavily envious of my buds. This past year, I realized just HOW lonely I was. I'm old, never dated, never had a mate, nothing. When the cancer hit, I had nobody to keep an eye on me, to look after me, to hold me thru the tears. It was ... a very horrible experience and I don't wish that kind of lonliness on anyone. I still cry when I think about this but there's nothing I can do about it now. My life is over, in this regard. I'm solo for life.

I really do hope you find somebody CS_Silver. You're a great guy, smart, very mature for your age, you got a long life ahead of you. Anything can happen in life, and I discovered it's much better to go thru life WITH someone, than without. You deserve happiness, to have someone sweet and caring on your side.

I know hanging with friends isn't quite the same, but at least it is something. Hang in there and best of luck to you :)
