Olivia Hartstrong: The Portland Roses continue to top the FHL charts with a stunning victory against the top tier team, the Victoria Totem Paws last Thursdays game, 3-0 in an outstanding shutout. Since the team came under new management this season, we were unable to get an interview from their General Manager, Mutteo Cleafurry, as he has been avoiding contact with press and media for quite some time. Instead we got the upcoming rookie starlight, Aodhan Murphy, who not only has proven himself an outstanding leader for the Roses, but is also making legends in the FHL as the current MVP of the season. Mr. Murphy-
Aodhan Murphy: Haha, nah don’t call me Mr. Murphy, that’s my father’s name!
Olivia Hartstrong: Oh yes, of course. Now, Aodhan, this is your first time in the games?
Aodhan Murphy: Yeh, that’s right, but I’ve been playing hockey for a few years now. I’ve had dreams of being in the big leagues, ya know? Well here I am now.
Olivia Hartstrong: Indeed. So can you tell me of your experiences being on the Portland Roses?
Aodhan Murphy: Well I hate to admit it, but I was a bit nervous leaving home and my friends to play professionally, especially since one of my closest friends, Skyler Resias, got drafted to Salt Lake City. Now were like rivals and stuff. It’s a real drag fighting friends.
Olivia Hartstrong: What’s your feelings on your friend’s team, Salt Lake City? They are a top contender in the SouthWest Conference.
Aodhan Murphy: They are really tough guys. I mean besides from Skyler, they have Belonzyk and Raz. Those yoshis are hard headed, dude. I could possibly say they are my greatest rivals, though we cleaned their clocks in the first game, haha.
Olivia Hartstrong: Speaking of which, when you started off, the Roses were ranked the lowest team in the league for a while, how did that feel?
Aodhan Murphy: I felt pretty devastated about it. I mean our team started fighting with each other since Liam Good got signed into the Roses. Me and him used to butt heads all the time, it was crazy heh.
Olivia Hartstrong: Oh yes, I can certainly see that, particularly after your first case with Houston, Liam took a hard blow to the head in the first period. How did you feel at that moment?
Aodhan Murphy: I was destroyed inside, Olivia. I mean me and Liam became really good friends and he took a hit for me. He ended up in coma for about a week. I couldn’t focus on the games. I was too worried about him.
Olivia Hartstrong: Yet you still managed to defeat Houston twice in a row, the rematch with them was massive, 8-2.
Aodhan Murphy: Well I admit I don’t deserve all the credit. Marty Walnut has really been showing his “A” game and I’ve gotten to like the lil pipsqueak. It’s funny because he has a prejudice toward birds but me and him have been getting chummy.
Olivia Hartstrong: Speaking of birds, you team recently recruited another, a toucan, Vav was it? In fact his very first game was a remarkable 3 goals. What’s your relationship with him?
Aodhan Murphy: I haven’t has much of chance to know Vav. The guy is rather strange really. He’s got a glowy nose just like our manager, and he’s always wearing that dark visor, even indoors. He doesn’t seem to be swayed by anything either. The guy’s a mystery, but he’s a hell of a good player, so I welcome him to my team, as well as the rest of them. They are really talented, and they have been kicking ass! Of course, I have been showing my Portland Pride as well. I am a bit of a hero for these guys, not to brag too much, haha!
Olivia Hartstrong: You have certainly showed great promise in the games so far. One night in particular when you were facing Seattle, you scored 4 goals and 3 assists, breaking the record for the highest scoring player in a single night. Care to enlighten us on that game?
Aodhan Murphy: I..well…I’m sorry to say I don’t remember much about it. I kinda blanked out during the first period and I wound up in a hospital bed. The game must have really worn me out haha!
Olivia Hartstrong: Watching the gameplay footage, we noticed you were acting rather peculiar and during that time your hair was glowing pink and you were emitting a very strange energy, almost as if a burning fire was emanating from you. Are you sure you don’t remember anything at all from that night?
Aodhan Murphy: Believe me, I am just as surprised as you, Olivia. I swear I have no idea what happened to me, and I couldn’t get myself to do it again. It was if I was a different person. It’s hard to explain, but I think something inside me snapped and when I came to, I found out about my epic night.
Olivia Hartstrong: Well regardless, you seem to be doing quite well for yourself. Your record as of now is 11 goals and 11 assists. Do you think you can top yourself in the future games?
Aodhan Murphy: Haha, no sweat. Aodhan Raud Murphy has never backed down from a challenge! You just send them at me and I will keep blazing through, because I’m totally feeling the flow!
Olivia Hartstrong: We expect no less from you, Aodhan, especially since your skills are up to par with your older brother, Fallon Murphy, who was the late star player for the Anaheim Ducks before his mysterious disappearance in over a year. Tell me, has Fallon been a big influence to you in the games?
Aodhan Murphy:……….
Olivia Hartstrong: Uhm, Aodhan?
Aodhan Murphy:….I have no brother, he is dead to me….
Olivia Hartstrong: Please, can you tell me more about your broth-
Aodhan Murphy: I HAVE NO BROTHER!
Olivia Hartstrong:…My apologies. Perhaps another time….
Aodhan Murphy: Gah…engh, I need some air…
Olivia Hartstrong: But I have more questions to have you.
Aodhan Murphy: Please…just…give me some air…
Olivia Hartstrong: Well….alright, thank you for taking the time to speak with us.
Aodhan Murphy: Yeah….
Olivia Hartstrong: Well there you have it folks. Our top player in the league with a lot to prove and with a great weight on his shoulders. Perhaps we will get another interview with Aodhan Murphy in the future to discuss the possible sibling rivalry of his late brother, Fallon Murphy, and hopefully soon we will get an exclusive interview from the general manager of the Portland Roses in due time.
