Any advice for maintaining artistic integrity?

Uhg I am a failure at sexy shit.
I can't get back into my "Depravity" comic. It's not sexy anymore! I thought about it too much and sure enough the story took on a life of it's own. Suddenly what was SUPPOSED to be a convenient vehicle for wanton sex turned into some touching coming-of-age story full of complicated characters (all with their own past) and an elaborate plot line THAT COMPLETELY PRECLUDES ALL OF THE SEX! DX COSMIC WTF?!?!
for example:
I posted the first four pages of the latest chapter. Little kid ends up in a sauna with his three older brothers and their dad..and that's as far as that chapter got. If I was ANYBODY else that chapter would have ended in a pedo-incest-gangbang. But I am me. I like subtlety, and the characters wouldn't do that, and it would have been unrealistic in the plot, and DAMMIT. Sex ruined.
I couldn't get any farther and depravity collapsed under the weight of it's own plot...ok lets try another story:
1. taking it out of the real world THIS story is about a Steampunk universe where there is a terrible war and this kid is sent to live a on a work farm for young men overseen by a bear-ish doctor and a priest. ALRIGHT! You can see the potential here right? No, all of my creative energy was got caught up in the politics of the war, the doctors cold-on-the-outside-warm-on-the-inside personality, and the kids PARENTS story. Ugh SHIT.
2. Ok...let's see...A KING with multiple wives and eighteen kids! It'll be a totally hot story about the sexual proclivities of the high court right? Wrong. It'll end up being a touching story about the the royal family and how they learn to love each other (not sexually) and still fulfill their responsibilities to the kingdom. uhg! This one got epic too. I ended up coming up with about thirty characters each with their own personality, past, and little plot points devoted to them. This could have been a BOOK it got so complicated. A BOOK WITH NO SEX!!! *sigh*
3. Alright I can do this! THIS one will be about a king too! This king is a mean man who has a harem full of kids! A young man from a conquered kingdom is brought to the kings castle to be given to the prince as a slave. A SEX slave! YES!...Except the prince is actually a nice guy, and the young man's father is staging a rebellion against the evil king, and then there develops elicit romances, and intrigue and...shit.
And once again all of the fun sexy parts get buried or ousted entirely by plot and character development and my desire for some sense of reality that prevents MOST fantasy sex scenes from ever existing in the first place. Like a crack-head to crack every sex story I come up with turns into some epic.
I love the stories I come up with...maybe THATS the problem. They become good and interesting (I think XP)
BUT WHERE"S THE SEX?!?!

FA+

I do like the stories I come up with in my head but they often end up being too complicated for a comic. I think about writing the stories out but I like the visual cues that comics provide.
but sexy or not, ur still good =3
The ideas that you've come up with sound great and I'd love to read them.
so, ask yourself... do you want to draw porn or do you want to draw a story? the two aren't mutually exclusive, but there is a balance to be had to make them both shine.
other than that, i'm coming up against a wall myself.
Sorry... got high on rhetoric. The point is: keep it simple. Don't be afraid to make disconnected events, unrealistic situations, and ridiculous characters. It's the only way. Be prepared to sacrifice that artistic "integrity" as you perceive it if this is the mode of art you are wanting. Nothing is more distracting and disorienting than a hardcore sex scene in the middle of a touching, interesting, or thrilling story. Nor is there anything more disappointing than a character in the middle of a porn attempting to say something pithy or intellectual. (Not as if I've ever noticed that, but then, I watch my porn muted and in fast-forward.)
Teh End.
<suggestion> How about a story 'bout a nympho? The sex will happen because the character craves it, and might become more and more exasperated if it is not there? With a partner to that creature and at least one of them being a little creative sexwise, there's bound to be pornography, as a part of whatever story you throw them into.
If you want more than shallow story, porn only happens if the character personalities would spawn it. </suggestion>
<suggestion2> Write the stories instead of making them complete comics, draw the scenes you feel needs drawing, and let that be it. Illustrated books are good, a mix of story and comic could be too. </suggestion2>
