Hey, Just a Life Update + Feeler Commission Info
13 years ago
As you've noticed my presence has been pretty much non-existent here for the past couple of months. Worse than that, the majority of stuff I've uploaded is fanart.
I know I haven't uploaded enough stuff here to establish this as fact to the casual onlooker, but when I draw fanart I'm not usually busting my artistic butt to make it as good as it can be, I'm just drawing to draw. ...I'm still not really sure if that's apparent, sometimes I feel like no matter how much effort I put into a piece it's always only going to look the same level of "finished" after a certain point. That piece I uploaded earlier in the week? I didn't spend a lot of time on it. There's no way I drew the wolf's rumpus in the right place and I totally phoned it in on all of the Stile's (the human's) limbs.
I have literally not had the time to do much of anything art-wise that I wasn't doing in class, and I really only have one class in which I can draw, and I have to draw to stay awake in that class. It's ridiculous. Three days a week I go observe a teacher teach at a school for a couple of hours, come home, eat something, go to class, then either come home and do homework or go to work. I'm not all depressed about it or anything but it is hard and it has been kicking my ass. There's just so much driving around involved. D:
Fox's commish is still stuck in schedule limbo because it's watercolor and therefore just not that portable. When I watercolor I like to try and color the entire thing in one go and I haven't really had the space of time necessary since last Friday which I used to try and ink it, but inking always takes longer than I anticipate so it didn't get done. (I think that was last Friday...I don't really even know)
Also, if you're of the praying persuasion, pray for me, man. I have to take a really really important exam on Saturday that will determine whether I can student teach in the spring and finish up my degree.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Once I finish Fox's thing I've decided I'm going to open up for five dollar commissions of the quick variety and see if anybody takes me up on that. I probably won't offer any color options other than marker, but come on, look how nice the marker option is. :3 They're so smooth and fancy.
