As in, I could really use 'em. Once upon a time, I made pictures entirely in Photoshop, but since then, I wanted to work on other aspects of art, so I got into pencils and OpenCanvas. But I'm in the market to finish some damn pictures, so if you know of a good one for blended shading, links plz! I'm pretty well-acquainted with cel-shading; no need there.

I learned by using the 'How to color for comics' guide, which was at least co-written and illustrated by Mr. Gold Digger (Fred Perry). The specification of 'cells' and layers was tremendously helpful in isolating particular colors as well as incorporating lighting gradients using photoshop blending options.
Mind you, I'm no pro.. but I tend to be the 'go-to-person' for my (non-artist) friends who need something 'shopped.
Also study the color wheel and pick shades based on color compliments
It is all I can say.... very simplistic but supposedly it is what everyone prefeers out of me :P
My go to guy of color.
