Some stunning news in St. Louis today as long-time star of the
fhl's Green Bay Tundra/St. Louis Spirits "Big" Bjorn Sandell has demanded an early release from his contract, wishing to retire early from the FHL. In a recent press conference, he had this to say:
"I used to think this was an honest and fair league, but in recent weeks, the league has seemed to become more and more corrupt, as if they're being run by the mafia, or the Manager of the 1919 Chicago White Sox! While I haven't had any issues with the new team management, I can no longer bear (no pun intended) to affiliate myself with this league.
They are losing more and more integrity on a weekly basis now, which is why I want an early release from my contract, as early as possible, that is! I don't care if this ends my hockey career, and don't even care what penalties I may have to pay from the contract, I just want out! I already have other job offers elsewhere anyways, so I'm not worried about where I go!"
