Thinking about getting a new computer
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to decide between two different kinds of computers. I narrowed it down to either a laptop-tablet convertible or a all-in-one touchscreen desktop. I like the convertible so I can use it as a normal laptop at my desk doing work or watching tv and using as a tablet when I do things around my apartment. The all-in-one I like for the touchscreen capability and just being able to come home and tap my computer and works. It also has saves space on this small desk (I need to get a bigger one) and I like the touch version of Windows 8. <not a typo
What do y'all think is the better computer?
Thanks for reading,
KaGe

If you don't expressly need a portable, get the desktop. A significant part of the cost of a laptop is the battery, and they poop out pretty quick. If you NEED the portability, well, but if you don't it's kinda a waste of money IMHO.

*nods* makes sense but the idea of having it be portable is still a nice touch. I may never need to take it to work but then again I may so it's whatever LOL

Personally I'm a fan of the convertibles but they are wayyyyy expensive. Acer has a nice touchscreen laptop for like $700 though.

I'm looking into those as well, seeing what the differences will be between a desktop and laptop

Longevity and price Lol. If you don't need the portability a desktop is a safer bet.
