No puppy
Decided - with my hoarding tendencies, financial uncertainties, and personal insecurities, that the last thing we need right now is a puppy. My mom's taking them to the Knoxville shelter. I feel kinda bad for saying no to her, but I've decided that I shouldn't overdo it or overextend my kindness when I'm going through my own issues.
It's actually a HUGE relief to me now that I said no, because I can daydream about eventually getting the perfect dog from a breeder or rescue, rather than dealing with a puppy with no vaccinations, not fixed, nothin'.
I really appreciate the input from the other day, guys <3 y'all da best

Get a hamster instead, they are better than dogs anyway X3
She was a weirdo but a cute little bugger. She only lived for 5 more days though...
All in all I think all hamsters are awesome. Give them a huge cage and they are happy. They almost always turn into massive assholes and don't really care about you but if you know what you are doing they are the least complicated pet ever :P
except i have a soft spot for my impulse buy hamster because he is named Lenin
Sure, they still need to be let out of the cage and their fair share of attention but not as much as a dog or rats. They are like the cats of the rodents^^ As long as they know that you are still there and caring for them everything is fine.
At first mine didn't mind being held as well. But then she suddenly realized that she was in a new environment and that she should probably be scared of it XD Hamsters tend to be a little slow...
I'm just glad he's not scared or bitey x3 those were my worries.
And as long as you have a big cage for him with stuff to dig around in and enough food he shouldn't be bitey at all :3
It just made me so sad, since they have -incredibly specific- diets and requirements but NOPE YOU JUST NEED A POUCH, NECTAR, AND A TINY CAGE. hnnggh
It's sooo specific and ferret food is basically like Ol' Roy in comparison, know what I mean? Cat food in general is bad so you have to find really -good- cat food.
