So where can a Minority Go?
Well interesting conversation so far, but I am now drawn to the question..where can one go, to find writers and players that will write and engage with a plot that is not a photo copy of everything else?
Before I even read a fellow writer, I know one immutable fact, one way or the other EVERYONE will be happy. Weather this is from teh voreophillies who LOVE to be killed, to the ones who like "rape" Rape being defined as being against someone's will until the pleasure is so great that smile and say thank you.
I mean lets take a look at a popular artist Rukis. WONDERFUL plot set up, a young Tiger, sold into slavery....This fellow could have been a great warrior, but here in his formative years, he is sold and made a slave in a brothel. Do we delve into how this fellow adjusts? doe his father's rival show up...and pay for a night with the lad? no..at auction for his virginity, his new found best friend (and fellow slave) magically comes up with enough money to out bid a powerful lord, so that the Tiger at least has his first time with someone who cares about him (lets all say..awwwwwwww isn't that sweet).
You can find example after example of SImba, making love to Kodi (and vice versa) Simba making love to Nala and Sarabi.... even Simba having his way with Scar (Usually with Scar having a wonderful smile plaster on his muzzle) But try and find Scar domming Simba, Nala or Sarabi/ they are out there but very sparce, and NO stories.
The escape is assured, weather that be corney or clever. Perhaps it is the Draconian AUP out there...
When you DO encounter a successful antagonist, they themselves are draconian...sadistic sadists that have no concept of pleasure....
So where, where outthere are sites where this can be explored? does such a sigt even exist?

I think the reason you see what you see is that we are, more or less, ordinary people leading fairly ordinary lives. There's a reason feel-good movies like Love, Actually or The Terminal make money (even violent feel good movies like Zero Dark Thirty which have an undercurrent of rah-rah for mom and apple pie.) We like emotional validation. Especially in a dark time and climate, with poor economic indicators and raving fringe loons. Even sad things need touches of humanity. Otherwise the majority of the audience is lost. And as capitalism teaches us, the invisible hand of the market is swift and cruel in its punishment of those that stray. Those thus castigated learn their lesson, unless they are especially "married" to their way.
As a matter of confession, I am one of those happy bad folks. The term "grimbright" has been tossed around for such dark themes with cheery or hopeful ends. Just the other day I did a hilariously irreverent hanging scene, where the one hung was joking and talking before switching to a post-cooking scene with the roasted person was still alive and watching the roast. It's odd the ridiculous things I do. But I have this bottomless well of cheer in me that exacts a price: I do not want to be brought down. It is just a little quirk.
But to be a fair and noble person, I must tell, even if it eats my guts. FiMFiction.net has no content restrictions, on the whole. Foal fiddling is distressingly common, and darkly murderous tales are all around. To start you on your dark quest... In general, Von Aschenbach, and Ham Gravy. For your tastes, Brony Stories' "120 Days of Blueblood."
I feel sickened and disgusted with myself for giving more eyes to things I would rather see purged, with fire. But, there you are.
The point I was trying to make is, I can actually FIND things that turn my stomach....Gristly tortures of cubs (children whatever) and if you make something Gay, almost ANYTHING is ok.
But to get to a point where someone is exploited sexually..actually exploited, seems..WORSE then even the most gristly torture.... I agree most people LIKE emotions, so why are we putting that ONE off limits?
What I am saying is you can find what you want. Evil people that are evil and enjoy it. Rarity in Ham Gravy's "Tarnished Silver" series is an elegant sadist and torturer both mental and physical. I honestly thing you'd like it, for certain values of like. Ditto with Brony Stories' "120 Days of Blueblood" where he is a decadent and perverse overlord that torments his citizens with glee and creativity.
How is that not what you want?
I just... Maybe it's me, maybe I'm dim but I just don't understand, fundamentally, what you're trying to find. It sounds like everything ai've mentioned but you say it is not. I mention these writers do not shy away from hard subjects, at all, and there are no promised happy endings or cheerful redemptions.
Now I'm just mentioning these things purely out of confusion. You have thrown down the gauntlet: You have made a statement I cannot understand . And the one thing that tortures me is not UNDERSTANDING. I want to understand.
Look at it this way.
Me personally, IRL, I woudl not want to be tortured, and murdered, over a series of weeks. NOR would I want to be raped.... However if I was told I HAD to choose one..end me over....
It seems like people will write about the most sadistic stuff....physically...but the very concept that Scar..MIGHT win, and actually BE an effective rule (as an example) is..repulsive..or so it seems
I THINK I get what you're saying but honestly I'm not sure. I've reached a strange impasse here. I may be like the citizens of Halloween Town trying to understand Christmas: the concept is so alien it is literally beyond my capacity to comprehend. If that is it then I am sorry for spilling so much electronic ink over my ignorance and incapacity. Though I consider myself fairly sharp. There may be a bit of that, but you may be having trouble finding RP partners because you are a bit roundabout and vague when asking for scenes, leading to confusion.
Part of my job, both in the military and in my civilian job, is to watch for "trending"
For example the very first thing that struck me in your last posting was, you said "Scar was driven crazy by metal poisoning" This jumps out to me..because it just SEEMS, that, everyone wants some reason as to "shy" something bad happens. It is never just because Scar was ambitious, cunning and pulled it off.
It's the same as saying, the guy raped her, but it really turned her on and she loved it so they got married.
As someone who deals with psychology, I am fascinated by the whole nature of human thought...For example teh duality of rape in the female mind (I am sure it is in the male mind as well) On the one hand, I do not think any female WANTS to be physically hurt. But on the other hand, in OUR society, a promiscuous woman is considered a social out cast (whore, slut etc) So I have been told my many WELL respected Psychologists, women have "rape" fantasies, not to get hurt...but because it is permission to enjoy the act while avoiding teh social stigma. On the other hand is the violation of something turely against their will.
Knowing this, I want to have what i would think is a typical male fantasy To project myself INTO the Scar character, give myself permission to be cunning, and to TAKE the females I want, and get away with it, especially if Nala is forced to admit...you know sex really IS more satisfying with Scar then with Simba....
Does this make any sense to you?
I have no opinion on rape fantasies because I am not a woman, and I have no desire to speak from a position of ignorance. I will wait for more studies that use imaging technology to remove subjective variables.
The thing with the heavy metal was more that my Lion King stories were meant as sociopolitical commentary rather than anything psychosexual. Though there is some comedy, slice of life and romance because otherwise they'd be boring. I mean, "Savannah City" is about monetary influence on law and order and the perceptions of disparate groups based on money and standard of living. But there are also jokes about a guy's name, two young adult women on a first date and Twin Peaks references.
So I get some basic ideas, but, like Phoenix Wright, it almost feels like I've found a contradiction. Earlier you said you don't want to see NC where the woman likes it. But down there you talk about Nala admitting sex is better with Scar. Which is a little skeevy, I'm in the "Scar parentage" camp for Nala but, that is neither here nor there.
