People are SO fickle (another Rant)

You know, many "furs" read my stories and posts, and or see my character, and what to role play with me, but what is REALLY annoying is:
First, I get tired of ALWAYS being the GM. I do get inspired, and It is fun to lead my partner on a voyage of discover, but sometimes *I* want to be the one who does not knwo the outcome...
Second: When I AM inspired, then come all the conditions and GOD I am sick of the whole "I don't do Canon" Crap... Look I get to, you want to play your own character....but at LEAST met ME be inspired (and take the BAD with the GOOD)
For example... I am currently inspired by a Star Trek Setting (NO we co NOT need canon characters) a NEW race in the federation....I play a Griffin..4 legged, pony size....
Now in my mind there is a LOT of impromptu RP here, The Griffin is the Federation's most AWESOME Helmsman (Helmsbeast?) And very powerful...but hey..what do they require to eat? what other duties can he (or she) do? How do we deal with him not being able to sit in a chair? What about the crew someone having a crush on him or her....Discovering the Social habits of the griffin... What if a Young fellow had a pet rabbit that got into teh griffins quarters?
But what do *I* get?
"oh I do not do 4 leggers
"how can teh Captian have a crush on a crew member?
"Star trek is canon I am nervous with that
"can you be a bi pedal griffin"
"Can you make your griffin want to have sex?"
You knwo teh BEST RP has a plots, but it also has common every day things to interact with...don't cut my inspiration before We have even TRIED it

As well, there's a slightly more basic concept at play here. Not everyone is a pan-fetishistic pansexual. Some folks literally cannot even try, either because they feel that the inauthenticity is embarrassing and contrived, or they simply cannot. A straight person by and large won't even know how to do homosexual things, and will have zero inclination to do so. Or the social implications may not be evident so playing a scene like you want may baffle them. You mentioned before about the social matters of the griffin on a starship. Some people just can't predict how social situations will go down. It's a complicated, iterative process. And again, not knowing makes it feel contrived and inauthentic, and would make some folk shy about it.
I understand what you're saying, but for ME anyways, something out there i can't understand...grabs my focus...and I have to keep poking at ittill some kind of enlightenment comes
Anyhow, just an observation from my end. I accept the limitations of my partners and understand if some cannot do some fetishes for any reason. I am flexible and can concoct wonderful scenes with limitations.
