I'm very sorry to hear that. The drive may be recoverable; it can be expensive, but it's worth checking into if you have irreplaceable data. After spending a few hundred a few years ago to recover a drive I had, I finally made the investment in an external drive for back-ups.

It wasnt a complete crash, but I did get things backed up. I just had to wipe the drive and reinstall. I am still working on reinstalling things even as late as this morning before school. But I did lose some school work. Thankfully it was not due today... but the rest of my day is being spent in the computer labs

Oh man, sorry to hear what happened.

I know how much it sucks, I had a major computer crash some years ago and lost so much stuff including the original high res Photoshop files of some of my artwork, over 40 hours of coloring work just gone...

That would send me into a depression fit for sure... as it is I spent most of Friday on my 3D buiolding homework.... and Saturday afternoon the system pulled its stunt.... so I lost it all. Thankfully I back up stuff on my flash drive for school but I hadn't had a chance to do it yet. So with the computer down and working a reinstall and backup, I lost a day and a half of homework time. Plus a days worth of work. So I am scrambling now to get caught back up on my building, I just spent about 4 hrs last night getting this assignment for today ready (PVC) and getting ready for my final project to turn in next week, but I also have a webpage to tweak for Internet Concepts, and I still have a 2 page report to do for English due tomorow morning.
