A Short Recap and FurDU 2013

My word, it's been a while since I posted anything to my journal. Let's try and remedy that with this post.
Firstly: here's a quick run-down of what crazy furry antics I've been up to since my last post:
- I made it to FurJam (it was awesome)
- I went fursuiting at the Australian Maritime Museum (again, awesome)
- I made it to MiDFur (it too was awesome)
- and I participated in the OzFurs entry in the Sydney Mardi Gras (it was fantasticly awesome).
I think it is safe to say that I've had a fair bit of awesome fun over the past seven months. Here's hoping I can keep the good times rolling.
Now with that out of the way - let's move onto the future:
Well, I'm due to jet off to
FurDU in a month's time. I've got my sponsor membership all paid up, my FurDU 2013 shirt on order, plane tickets paid for, hotel room booked, and I'm keen to see what the FurDU team has in store for us this year. With the convention just around the corner, I thought I should publish my responses to the convention meme created by 
Cyrin. Let's see how I go shall we:
1) Have you been to FurDU before?
Once - 2012. This will be my second time.
2) How long will you be on the Gold Coast?
I will be arriving on Thursday afternoon and leaving on Tuesday afternoon (25th - 30th April)
3) Where are you travelling from?
Sydney NSW
4) How are you getting there?
I'm flying from Sydney to Coolangatta via QANTAS - they worked out cheaper for me as I'll be taking a crate with my fursuit/s as well as a suitcase.
5) Are you staying at the con hotel?
Yes indeedy.
6) Who are you rooming with?
Just me - I get all the beds!!!
7) Who will you be hanging around with?
I don't know - whoever is willing to put up with me really. Worst comes to worst, I'll be hanging around the bartender.
8) What are you major plans for the con?
Seeing some familiar faces, doing some fursuiting, enjoying booze with friends, and generally enjoying my holiday.
9) Anything you really want to happen during the con?
Hilarious hijinks and sidesplitting shenanigans perhaps?
Winning the jackpot at the casino would also be welcome.
10) Anything you really want to avoid during the con?
The rain, getting crook, and generally not having a good time
11) Are you fursuiting?
Why yes, yes I am - Paramyhr will be there, having fun in the sun. I'll try to bring Innomi along as well - he deserves a holiday too. It really all depends on how good I am at packing.
12) Are you an artist or dealer?
Nope
13) Are you doing anything outside of the con?
I'm aiming for at least one dinner at a fancy restaurant. If I'm invited to any extra-curricular activities I'll try to go to those too. Otherwise... go for a walk down Cavil Ave perhaps? I don't know, my plans are pretty flexible.
14) How can I find you?
If you need to find me we'll have worked something out previously.
15) Do you like hugs?
I'm not so keen on them myself. Handshakes are cool though - I'm very pro-handshake.
On the other hand, Paramyhr is pro-hug - as long as you check with him first it should be ok.
16) Can I have a drink with you?
Yes, yes you can. Otherwise I'd have to talk to myself and that would be a very one-sided conversation.
17) Can I grab dinner with you?
If I have don't have prior plans, I don't see why not.
18) Can I photograph you?
Me, personally? Well I can't stop you, but why waste your film? (or memory card space, or whatever it is you young people use these days)
Paramyhr is far more photogenic - photograph him.
19) Can I tag along with your group?
I have no group as such, so there is no-one to tag along with. Sorry.
20) Anyone you wish was coming, but isn't?
I can't say. I'm terrible with names and I have no idea at the moment who is and is not coming.
And that is enough social media indulgence for now.
As it stands, FurDU 2013 is the only convention this year I have made any plans to attend; so I have a vested interest in having a great time.
