Still no scanner
17 years ago
Still having no luck finding a 64bit Vista scanner, or for that matter ANY type of scanner, as all the stores around here only have them built-in with printers... What is this, are they starting to become extinct like soundcards? o.o
Thinking about adding a better/usable paint program along with it as well, but I see Corel is still bloating Paint Shop Pro with junk/spyware and Adobe still seem to think $1,400+ for Photoshop is affordable. >_<

Not sure about Corel. I picked up that one a while back when I had extra money and I think it's ok. Photoshop is my thing, but I'm not crazy about CS3 ... I have CS2 for the office rig that I keep there for working on stuff of my own and it does just fine.
But anyhow i've taken a risk and ordered a Canon LiDE 600F scanner at the computer store... guess there's only one way to find out if it works or not. XD
Alas, seems photoshop is everyone's thing. An older version (even a 7) I could happily live with, but I just can't find them over here. ^^;
As for Photoshop ... I'm not the best to talk about this. SCAD teaches the usage of that program because that's what the big companies often use for their works. Corel and others are ones I haven't had the time time to play with yet. :)
