Really? No one? I would think furries would LOVE to spend a day playing with fluffy animals. >.=.> Haven't gotten a single response to my last journal (here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4771373/ ).
I think I'll post up the pictures individually for better viewing. These dogs need help and homes. We were planning to foster one until I found a lost schnorkie...
Anyway, I plan to go back out to the rescue this Saturday. If anyone would like to join me, we could severely use the help. These animals are only getting the bare minimum of care, and they could really use some love and attention. Even if you just want to go out and play with a dog, at least they get to have a better day. I'm going to be working on getting all the dogs brushed for summer, getting their nails trimmed, and getting rid of any matting. The next needed step is to give them baths and scrub the algae out of their water bowls. They're turning green again. =(
We also still need to find a way to fashion a wheelchair for the poor lame dog. In fact, if we can find a way, we might just foster him ourselves. But he really needs some serious medical attention, and for that we really need to raise the money to help the little guy. I'll be sure to take his picture next time so we can get him up on here... Just seeing the little ball of love really tugs at the heart strings. ;-;
I'm also still busy at home doing yard work and unpacking our stuff. We're still mostly living out of boxes, and our yard is full of weeds. I'd certainly accept help if anyone wants to help a disabled girl out with her yard. x.=.x

She's not the same type of dog at all, but when Truman once found a home, they had to bring him back because he wouldn't stop crying for her... =(

He's paraplegic. He has no bones in or feeling or use of his back legs. He drags them around behind him, and they're raw and skinned and covered in sores. He drags those wounds through his stool and urine when he has to go to the bathroom. He also moves very slowly in an area with a lot of snakes. He needs a wheelchair and preferably to get his useless rear legs amputated ASAP. At this rate they'll go septic and kill him. =(
My allergies would also fuck me up bad with THAT many dogs. When I go to your guy's place or others with multiple dogs, my allergies start to kick in. I can't imagine how fucked I'd be around 100 of em.
Anyway, I think we decided we're going to try to foster the little handicapped dog and build him a ramp so he can have a clean place and find a home faster... I have some ideas on getting or making him a little wheelchair...
If you're ever interested in getting a dog, you can let me know and I can just bring it home with me to meet you. =3 That way you don't have to suffer through your allergies. lol
Heck i don't even have a place to live right now either.
I'm getting out if it now though, i had enough as of yesterday when they screwed me over from attending AC.
Heck, living in a garage sound far better then what i go through. hehe.
Anyway, if all else fails, the animal rescue lets people stay there for free and even sometimes feeds them if you agree to help make sure all the animals get what they need (food, water, pens cleaned). =3
I'm more rather a social guy, and this job doesn't really help me in that regard, as its more suited for loners.
sure its easy to learn how to do the job and all, but i rather be with my friends, the Jaycees,and family them always be away almost all year from.
Well, at least i learned about the animal shelter thing, didn't know they do that.
