And this is one of the things I'd love to learn more about too, especially fur texture and feather texture as well (especially for along the neck/head for gryphons and such). I'm not that great with digital media, but I'm guessing that doing it with traditional media would be simular, eh?

I'd love to see a demonstration of how feathers line up with each other in different stages of wing-open-ness.

Unfortunately I don't think I can make it Saturday night, but I think tips on how to render fur in a natural "clumping" fashion would be helpful.

how do you do white fur? what colors do you use?
