Good to hear it's coming along pretty well! By sensitive, do you mean the scar tissue is sensitive?

Something like a coat sleeve feels like it's stabbing me, as if it's made of rough straw instead of cloth. The nerves also transmit funny bone like zaps into the palm of my hand when the wrist is touched.

That's odd! I wonder if some nerve ends bonded to the wrong spot? Have the surgeons/doctors said anything about methods to reduce the sensitivity or is it still in a state of wait and see? I've experienced something like the zaps like you describe when my left knee ligaments loosen(?) and it bends a hair past full extension, like getting jabbed in the joint with a cattle-prod! Fortunately it doesn't happen often, so I can imagine it's rather frustrating for you!

As someone who's just (finally) gotten away from physical therapy for a bum right foot (and I was tromping about at FC on it) I totally can relate.

At least you're nearly totally healed up, and that's what counts! Here's a toast to your perseverance.

Try standing while drawing. That will take pressure off your ass wrist.

I can't stand for various reasons, but I do take plenty of breaks! And lots of physical therapy exercises.

I can relate. Roughly one month ago I broke my right clavicle and the last few weeks have been very frustrating as I have watched work pile up and deadlines loom. At least I can now work in the studio to a limited degree. That and I can't sleep on my side. Ugh!

I had a commission to paint a sign for a Chaldean restaurant owner in New Baltimore Michigan. The sign was a multi conceptual monstrosity that I pulled off anyway, even though it was just foliage and letters. Anyway I was painting on a 65 foot tall ladder since a scaffold was unable to go that high and the triangular berm where the sign was implanted refused to let me use the scaffold on both sides of the sign. I made a template to try and do everything the 'easy' way but the winds up there tore it to shreds. So I had to paint it all by hand off the font style on his business card.

The facing the restaurant side came out nice the "f" in Fields was taller than I am, 7 and a half feet. then I started on the road facing side, and could not hold onto the ladder with the 40mph winds with my left hand, so I had to do the whole side left handed hanging on to the ladder with my right hand.

My point is this you will eventually have to learn to draw with the other hand, since you might break your wrist again or get carpal tunnel or something. I can still draw with either hand from that experience, I prefer using my right hand but it tends to feel like it is ready to fall off from work load sometimes.
