Well once again ive done it to myself. i just bought a truck yesterday, and the minute i pulled into my driveway it spun a Bering. I gotta stop buying cheep ass vehicles. when the heck am i ever gonna learn. so now sitting at my friends place is a broke down Mitsubishi Mighty Max pickup.
so the work begins once more. already got the motor out and the crankshaft removed.

I was always cautioned against rebuilding blocks with spun bearings due to shavings getting sent through all the passageways in the block.

I agree, but that old block should be fine sitting through a good parts washer for a while,

official as of 9:00pm today. the truck is now scrap. and it killed me to have to do it. but apparently a truck with a bad motor is not worth saving. may she serve life well as a Chinese made dishwasher.
