I.N.S. ~ Inconsequential Nonsensical Scribblings
*We interrupt Kyo's creative thought processes to bring you DTG Operation's 10-Year Anniversary Party*
NoooOOOOoooOOOOooooOOOOoooo!!!
... Okay. I suppose this needs more explanation than just that *SIGH*
My company's anniversary is in November of every year and last year's theme was Welcome to the Jungle. So.. heh... I waltzed into the Celebration Committee (the people in charge of any celebrations and decorations that happen in our company) threw down a game-plan and we rocked it sooo hard the roof nearly fell down. XD
So sure enough, the came to me and asked me to be the Art Director and Designer again for this year. The theme was Ten Killer Years and it was going to be an underwater design. So immediately I'm hearkened back to my innocent youth when I painted nothing but Christian Reese Lassen inspired seascapes with corals and fish and dolphins and.... well... I bit off more than I could chew.
Its been a Drama-Rama from the get-go and so stressful that Kyo's been coming home to either a pint of Ben & Jerry's or a cocktail every night for the past week and a half or so. ~__~ My own fault, I'm sure. But I can't help it! I get so damned passionate about it... let things get personal... I have been doing much better and just letting things go. But I'm still up to my furry lil ears in sea turtles, dolphins, corals, fishes, crustaceans, cetaceans... you name it! And all of it has to be painted or orchestrated or delegated out... I have to organize teams and keep lists of necessary materials and make sure people are staying on-task and that we're still managing our call handling and meeting my decorating staff requirements, whilst juggling immature, bratty people's pwecious lil feewings... cry-cry-sad, you're bossy! Whine-whine-bitch-behind-your-back cause you won't lemme do what I wanna do when I wanna do it. You don't listen to my ideas.. whaaaahhhh... *rolls her eyes* People get all butt-hurt over the DUMBEST things...
So anywho, After 8 hours of paint and paint and draw and sketch and delegate and drama drama drama... and MORE paint, I'm coming home wanting NOTHING to do with ANY of my art supplies. I fear if I did the slightest frustration would have me lighting up the grill and setting them ablaze while cackling maniacally into the chill night air....
...which would be bad.
SO... I'm taking a small break. The celebration is next Friday. All will be done then and I can resume my handling of my furry friends' adorable little commishy-art-happiness-thingies. Hooray!! I hope this doesn't make you all hate me. I just haven't got the energy for it right now and if I force myself, they won't look half as good... and that would make me feel like I was failing you.
*sad-faces*
I promise I'll hop right back on them the day after! Though the paintings are waiting on my trip to Muskogee... and that is waiting for my car to be repaired and in the condition to drive that far... so sorry!! Didn't think it was going to be out in the shop this long. *even sadder-faces*

But I can tell ya that I am really yerning to see what it's looking like. *does a little happy dance* I never had the chance to see it that night before we went to bed cause we decided it was too f-ing cold to make the journey from A-frame #2 to the artist alley and then back to A-Frame #4. that night was prolly the night that vomit pancakes were easily pheasable. lol, everyone got pretty trashed up there.
Oh well... but yes, I will be taking pictures. I'm even taking some of the fish home to decorate my ocean-themed bathroom (whaaaat? Overdone, I know... but where else was I gonna hang my old paintings? :P)
Anywho, Its really cool. I had this crazy idea to make jellyfish out of styrofoam bowls, crepe paper, and nylon balloon streamers.... funny thing is, they actually do look hella-good. XD Yay for random creative art-vomit-thingies!!!!
Also, the buffet table is going to be transformed into a sunken ship. :D
Fun stuffs... if it weren't for all the effin' DRAMA I'd be loving this project...
no really, sounds very promising. the buffet is a sinking ship? well, wait unti they are done eating up everything because it's for free... :9
So don't get me wrong... I'm enjoying it when I can and when things are going smoothly. Its just the people who're giving me flack and creating drama that are making things awful.
Thankfully, its almost over, though. :)
