Sold my soul to adobe?

I recently noticed a copy of Photoshop CS3 for about $975 and finally decided to get it, since due to a stock clearance for the new CS4 it's the cheapest price it'll ever be. ^^;
But however I can't use it just yet as I had already started working in GIMP before I got it and it's .PSD files doesn't save correctly for Photoshop, such as loss of Paths data and weird/damaged Layers. o.o
Strangely saddening for some reason, i've used GIMP for so long it's kinda hard to let it go, even if it's been a growing pain to use. ^^;
Probably won't make things better looking, but hopefully it'll make things a bit more easier.

Not the best anymore what with CS4, but then there's no apparent difference between the two. ^^
Adobe are still too secure on their file format, so it seems unlikely gimp will ever be able to fully support it. There goes my plan of converting all my files. ^^;
The hard part will be getting used to it, especially it's Ink (path) tool, as that's so differently difficuly from what i've been used to. ^_^
At least I can start using it's image scaling features, as GIMP's one now seems to be broken in my books. ^^;
