@_@ - LIFE
17 years ago
So I'm moving in two weeks.
Quitting my current job (it blows assmonkeys, I've been here too long).
Putting out resumes for a new jorb.
Searching for scholarships/loans/bursaries.
Finishing two major projects (including an art show display for the public, my first ever. Gulp!).
And getting back to work on a comic started three years ago. Mmm Nexistence. XD Brainbeasts are so much fun.
I'm not begging for money or anything, don't worry! Just excited and feeling a little thrilled to be changing up my life! *waves a small flag with 'yay life' across the fabric*
(Also, so terrified. This will be my first time renting. Any tips from those of you who are/have lived in shared accommodations before?)

and sorry, i don't have any renting advice to give, i still live with my parents (well, in an apartment that they own, but its only around fifty feet away from the main house so....).
Moving out for the first time is quite the experience. I alternated between elated and terrified for the first month or two until I got over being homesick (even though I only moved like...15 mintues away XD). First off, plan 'till you can't plan no more. Second, it's really important that you choose housemates that you're compatable with. It's good if they're friends, but if you're butting heads constantly over the dishes or the volume of their music it doesn't matter if you were the best of friends before, you're gonna end up hating them, like I nearly did with my first set of housemates. If you can, try to reach an understanding with your housemates about responsibilities (like, I'll do the dishes if you do the cooking). Other than that though, keep all your papers n' shit well organized, read all of the details of the lease, for the love of god, and try not to freak yourself out too much. XD.
Good luck, and I hope the move goes well for you!
(It helps that I only have two classes this semester. >:D Makes the rest of life much easier!)
