Weasyl is a nice site. So far.

I've been impressed by how smooth the transition was with the chrome addon and how smooth the interface is. Little weird to get used to, and I haven't figured out how to easily access folder editing outside of going to the help section for a link, but otherwise I like it a lot.

SoFurry certainly has some nice features, but weasyl feels so much smoother, and a touch faster to navigate I have to say.

I can't answer for all the artists, but I personally would not mind one bit. It's definitely not a big deal to me and I totally understand where you're coming from.
