For those of you who don't know what Foregen is, they're a group that is doing research in skin regeneration techniques that could potentially regenerate a foreskin completely, rather than superficially recreating one like with regular restoration techniques and devices. A week ago they just posted an announcement of a major achievement. http://www.foregen.org/blog/news/fo.....t-achievement/ They're starting to do skin tissues regeneration experiments on skin samples from animals, and have achieved the first steps in regeneration. They're going to continue with these tests and then in the future they would like to start testing cell regeneration techniques on donated human foreskins donated from human tissue organizations.

It makes me excited to see these tests are finally happening and the early signs are positive. I would also be interested in knowing if whether the skin regeneration techniques they're developing could help women who were subjected to FGM? There's already a group called Clitoraid (which I've written about previously) that is helping reverse the damage done to women who were cut, but I think it would be nice if Foregen could help people of both genders also. I'm anticipating to see what will come out of Foregen next!
