Hello! Sorry it's been a while. It looks like the group Foregen, which is trying to develop ways to regenerate foreskin, has been noticed by The Young Turks on You Tube.



My own thoughts on the video:

It's mentioned that originally circumcision became popular in the 17 and 1800s as a way to discourage young boys from masturbating. I thought it would have also bore mentioning that back then it wasn't just young boys who were cut. Some doctors in that time also recommended circumcision for young girls for similar reasons (preventing masturbation, preventing insanity, etc). For one example, look up mid 1800s doctor Issac Baker Brown who claimed removing the clitoris or other parts of women's genitals had profound medical benefits. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/art.....00038-0048.pdf I'm not sure how exactly female circumcision lost popularity in the US while male circumcision remained, but female circumcision continues to happen in places like parts of Africa and the Middle East. Involuntary circumcision is an issue for both men and women, not just men. I hope Foregen can find ways to help women as well as men.

Also, Cenk describing his own circumcision at age 6 is kind of disturbing.
