The older I get.
The more they try to make me grow up.
Car insurance, medical insurance, taxes, bills, gas, food, dishes, an organized living space. All highly important and wonderful things, responsible things to worry about. But I never really had much of a handle on them.
Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not crying for donations. I'm just reminiscent of the times when my biggest problems involved not being able to find a flat 4x1 Lego in the right color. When I could just run deep into the swamp in the backyard and pretend to be an animal. Dig a hole to fortify a position.
There are things I miss, true, but there is much that has gained from that sacrifice.
I have gained a very different perspective on myself and the world around me. I definently appreciate what happens in the world.
I found sharpe. Got married. And have found more joy that I have ever thought possible.
But dammit sometimes it sucks being "responsible" it's really expensive and it requires alot of sacrifice of things that are good for things that are better. But I can't say it isn't worth it.
Thoug I will say that this job just makes me just want to run home, strip and grab the Oreos and cookies and run around with a towel cape and underwear on my head.
