*Raises a paw* I've built my own suit twice now, including making extra parts for both, and made a satyr to boot (with super exaggerated leg padding, lulz). It's time consuming but fun stuff. :)

For my first suit I sourced all of my fur from I'm Stuffed Fur: http://www.imstuffedfur.com/home.html (the site is super sketch, but as long as you don't mind phoning in your order they are super nice and easy to work with)

I went more toony with version 2 of the suit and got all of the fur from our wonderful local supplier,  wolfeh! http://www.fursuitsupplies.com/

I still consider myself an amateur as far as suit building goes, but I will gladly try to answer any questions if you're thinking about taking on a project. Glorious or horrendous experiences...well, horrendous would definitely be deciding to build a fursuit when you don't know how to sew, lol. I learned that in tandem with making my first suit, so I'm surprised that suit is mostly still intact. :P Also, don't use plastic mesh as the base for your head. Sure, it has its advantages, but long-term durability is the suck.

Glorious experiences? Putting the suit on for the first time. :) And realizing that your sewing machine can punch through a seam that equates to 5-6 layers of fur without bursting into flames or shrapnel. I was holding my breath the first time I had to do that, ha ha ha.

Thanks Kaynus, we might take you up on that and maybe invite you over to work on suits if you're interested. Really looking forward to this project.

Ha ha ha, unbiased opinion, I'm sure? :P I did think about that, but seeing as how I'm actually allergic to them that would seem just a tad hypocritical, heh. I was thinking something more of the prehistoric variety, actually...
