I soften the non-update blow by giving you bad news!
Well, another month and another "not really an update update". I had planned on doing more, but a family emergency called me out of state for the past week, so nothing really got done. I plan on having some actual content for next update, assuming nothing else goes wrong.
Which brings me to my next point. Next month's update is going to be the last planned update! I'm sure a lot of you will be very disappointed by this, but it's frankly been a very very long time in coming. I finally have to admit to myself that I've grown tired of this project and don't have it in myself to drag it out any further. So with that, the next update will be the last one, marking the (approximately) 2 year anniversary.
I plan on making a more in depth journal when that time comes, but I felt I owe it to everyone to give a heads up beforehand. It's been a long and educational journey with many ups and many many downs. I'd like to thank the large cast of people that have helped me along the way, I sincerely hope you all enjoyed your time spent on the project and I want you to know your help means a lot to me. I'd also like to thank the fans and I hope you all enjoyed your time here.
I am also aware that April 1st is an awkward time to post this, but I didn't have the foresight to schedule updates on the 2nd, and I think April Fool's day is a stupid tradition anyway. So rest assured, this is not an April fool's joke.

also family comes before the game in my opinion unless of course the game is life which we play everyday
Although the family emergency wasn't really related at all, it's just the reason why there wasn't really an update this month.
Do you have any plans for what you're going to do next? Get back to doing art? Stories? A new and different game?
I kind of want to start doing art, but if I do it'll probably just doing lots and lots of technical practice stuff before posting anything anybody would find interesting, and I don't know how long my motivation will hold out for that either :x
Either way, it's a damn shame.
One far out there idea that also occurs to me, is to look up Vilified and possible talk to him somehow, maybe he could use some thing from the game for his. His game could be said t o be as if taking your game a huge leap forwards, since it seems he is planning on some manner of 2D or 3D game.
So I guess I just don't want to give up, just outsource a little maybe. :3
But in any case, I definitely can't stress enough how I don't want to dedicate time/focus on any level, advisory or otherwise. Coding was frankly the easiest part, it's the everything else that was so draining.
But whatever happens, I'm sorry to be bringing things to an end, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game :D
I know it might sound like an unpleasant idea, but might be a good way to prevent all your work from falling into obscurity.
Once it becomes part of something bigger it will continue to live on.
Thanks so much!
danke schoen. :)
If anything, At least I would like to see two more things.
one. This last comming update would be the BIGGEST update ever. with even my ideas coming into play.
two: Maybe someday you could comeback to this months later to pic-nick the game again from time to time. or Even hand some managing or something to that effect over to another person who would help continue the game's updates.
Again. it was nice to see how far this lovely game went.
Even though suggesting that despite this journal's statement is probably out of line, I'd like to inquire if you will cease the support for the project altogether, or if limited unscheduled updates would be manageable should some new content be submitted from the game's proponents ? Additionally, perhaps you could allow an another party to take over the responsibilities of managing the development of the game - while retaining all the due credit for it, of course ? Naturally, such a party may never even step forward with a proposition of such sort, so that idea is heavily hypothetical.
The above aside, I wish you the best of circumstantial advantages in all and any new enterprises you will be working on in the future ! Thank you for your dedication and creativity !
Thanks for the fun game and the inspiration!
Though I was always surprised there never was an event that mimic the proceedings of that 'Pigs is Pigs' cartoon.
And for realsies, I would sincerely like to look at the guts of this game, because I'm only just starting to get back to a place where I can write. But that's your choice, and I'll respect it.
Was seriously thinking about creating a wiki for this game (no promises, but I've gathered quite a bit of info already). Any objections?
