Arbitrary update journal!
Hello again, people who bother to read journals! Here's a random update!
-I've been wanting to get back in to creating stuff again, although so far I just haven't built up the motivation/focus to actually work on anything long enough to produce something. Hopefully that'll change soon, but I'm quite adept at convincing myself to do other things. But I've at least finally actually started to be more active on line, if not productive.
I want to do some programming work again. Although I don't know how related to my previous game it'll be. I kind of want to restructure some things and have a more narrative focused version and then a more free form version like it is now. I also have an idea for a really long story I want to right, but I'm still fleshing out some plot turns. I also really want to practice making art. I have a lot of fun coloring stuff, but I haven't ever gone super in depth with it. And I also want to start drawing stuff, but that's a whole other kettle of fish.
I think I really have to dramatically lower the standards I've set for myself. I feel like it's really just pride that prevents me from putting content out there, and I know that, but I can't convince myself to move past it. I had the same problem all throughout school and it's really dumb of me :x
-So as a surrogate I've been commissioning lots and lots and lots of things over the past few months! I'm probably going to start posting them over the next week or so. There's a lot of ones I want to try to color before I post them. And there's a couple of pics I'm getting stories for or vice versa. I'm hoping to start dialing back soon, but I haven't been doing a good job so far X3
In either case, prepare for me to post some stuff I may or may not have even done any work on! Feel free to unwatch me! Or start watching me?
I might move stuff that's been uploaded by the artist to scraps. And I hope I remembered to ask permission from all the artists first. I really don't know the etiquette on this sort of thing, and I don't know how watchers feel. And I really hope I remembered to ask all the people whose pic I want to color :x
-In other news, I have a twitter now! Not that I post much, but sometimes I'll post commissions I get there and I might start updating people on stuff, I don't know. But if you care I'm https://twitter.com/Noone_FA . I kind of want to tweet round lion photos I find, but I'm afraid of the original posters getting weirded out if they find out :x
-Speaking of, I've posted an archive of all the round lion photos I've found over the years! Some of you may not now, but I'm a bizarrely dedicated hoarder of them! These are some of my favorite ones: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3bfgcbh1.....46Jx8Pjqa?dl=0 . There's more info in my main page header if you happen to care.
-tl:dr I'm lazy as hell, but I've commissioned a lot of great stuff at least.
`Also, #TMITuesday? If you have any questions you want to ask, please do! I don't think anybody actually reads journals, but if you've gotten this far I'd love to answer questions about whatever :p

I think I'd say my favorite one is this one (link) because I love the pose and how absolutely stuffed to the limit he looks. Too full to even lay down right X3
Some close competition is this one (link) because it was one of the first really impressive photos I found way back when and he looks so blissfully overfed.
And this one (link) because I love how his belly hangs below and is squished between his legs X3 (Also this pic wasn't in the folder before, so I may be uploading some more pics that I forgot to there X3
As far as favorite content period, I'd have to say the video my avatar comes from ( https://youtu.be/ERcqMh5jydY?t=20m6s ) or this video which I don't actually have listed anywhere else X3 (link) or this video of an incredibly gorged cheetah X3 (link)
I also really like the third one, and especially the video where it is from, how carefully and tenderly he lowers him self
and yes, the one from your avatar is impressive too, the labored breathing let him look even fuller
and why didnt you list that Video? I am surprised how close they came to the tourist cars
and if I remember right the cheetah one was the one that started all, right?
I don't think I've actually seen the video for that third pic...? I didn't know there was one :x
And that video I posted isn't mine, so I didn't want to reupload it to youtube or whatever. Although I could have just put it in the folder with the photos, but then I don't know if people would notice it was a video. I'm still not super organized unfortunately :D
And yeah, I uploaded that cheetah vid a while back. I wish I hadn't messed up the sound though because I love the commentary that goes with it X3
Speaking of which, I could give you a note on a bunch of art tutorials if you are interested into drawing. I'll even make a few recommendations just so you can start drawing things on your own time. Also when drawing stuff, just stick with what you got sketched out to begin with. Even if there is one part of the drawing that looks off, the main part of creating art is to just express what you are trying to put on paper rather than worrying about every detail of it. :3
Oh and uh... for the question. x3 If you do end up making another game like before, will you accept other writers to fill in some content on where you wish there were some? Say for instance having a area or slot within the game that could involve either over eating or something like it that someone could write for you?
And yeah, that'd be super helpful! I've gone through a few different tutorials, but eventually I just start reading instead of doing, so I really just need to learn to stay focused X3
And yeah, I'd definitely love to accept any new content! I'd probably want to figure out some guidelines better at first. Getting content from people was definitely my favorite part of making the game, but trying to properly organize/implement certain things can become rather difficult :3
Okay, I'll send a note to you soon about the crap ton of tutorials and references I have. I've gotten it from a website a while back, but I think taking a quick look within several books that peak your interest should get you started on drawing.
Ah that is good to hear. Hopefully once the ground work is finished, (IE setting up the entire engine and gameplay mechanics which is a programmers hell hole. xwx) people will start giving you their personal works within the game. I know I would if given the opportunity.
^w^
I'm sorry, haha, for real though...a revival would be so awesome...
If you could have any two super powers (including any you would like to make up) what would they be?
Rules being;
1: You can't have omnipotence, omniscience, or some other uber godly power.
2: You can't have the power to give yourself other powers.
3: You can't have the power to change the rules of the question.
Otherwise, fire away.
I'd say time travel, but that's almost certainly too powerful. And I'd say the ability to draw, but that doesn't really count as a super power.
Hmmmmm, the ability to perfectly create any artistic content and the ability to never be tired? X3
If you do another one though you should probably rebalance the "Vore" option.
Enemies are way too easy when you can just eat them mid-battle.
So imagine my excitement when I heard you're getting back into programming! I hope your next game will still be feeding focused!
Could I just make a quick suggestion if you don't mind? Currently, your character can be defeated via overfeeding. Have you ever thought giving enemies a capacity stat too so they can be defeated by forcefeeding them into submission (and if you have bursting enabled, beyond that!). I think that would be a fun win mechanic to sit alongside HP loss and devouring! Admittedly, it would require a lot of extra writing as the combat description would presumably change the more stuffed and bloated the enemy gets!
Anyway, great job again! Hope to see more amazing stuff from you soon!
And feeding is definitely one of my primary motivators X3
And I definitely am interested in doing something like that, but it'd involve restructuring the entire nature of the game. Once you start having multiple systems interact, then the complexity increases exponentially and everything eventually grinds to a halt. So if it's something I did it'd essentially be the main combat system rather than an additional thing. Although either way, all that stuff is still way off from being figured out unfortunately :p
In any case, I'm super glad you enjoyed it! X3
Oh, I see! That's totally understandable! Still a fun concept to have in mind when you get around to developing your new game though! If you don't want to upset the game mechanics, you could even have a Devour/Leave/Forcefeed option after defeating an enemy! I actually got the idea for stuffing your enemies when I played through the Wolf Pack encounter at the forest and you can feed the alpha some food to let you get away, and I just thought: 'Wouldn't it be great if we could *continue* feeding the alpha?" >:D
On the subject of wolves, I loved the Fat Wolf encounter too! The fact that the poor thing has to waste a turn just to pant on account of its impressive girth was a very clever and realistic touch! Small details like that really show the love that went into making this game!
I know it's still early days, but I just want to wish you the best in any future game efforts! You'll have my support all the way!
