Especially if you're in High school.
And for the record, I have no school debt, no degree, and am in the top quintile of earners following the advice here.

Thanks for the video, by the way. Very interesting.
If you have the dedication to finish a four year degree then a four or even two year if you're army, stint in the military should be easy. If on the other hand you have physical problems that might prevent you going, then I recommend taking the certification track instead and going through WGU for your degree if you MUST have a piece of paper.
Western Governors University gives credit for industry certifications, allowing you to kill two birds with one proverbial stone.
Certs first though. For network security you're going to want the A+/Net+/Sec+ trinity from CompTIA to get your foot in the door and then probably the CCENT/NA or the analogous Juniper cert will get you in the door most places, particularly if you can pass the tech interview. I haven't seen a network engineering job that required a degree in YEARS, and if you can get to the top of the field (IE CCIE certification or similar) then you can pretty much write your own ticket.
