I take a moment here, to say good bye to my father. Even though you have yet to pass, you are no longer the man i grew up with, the man i learned to love after refusing to accept you into the family. The dog agreed with me, but over time both me and the dog learned to accept and love you.
And now, even though you haven't passed, i say goodbye to the man i knew and hello to this new man, this sickly old man who i barely know. In my heart i know you are in there somewhere and i still love you, and i'm sure the dog does too.
