I was hoping that Disney will release some anniversary documentary or something for anniversary but so far, no info :/

I think all we're getting is an official release of the Hans Zimmer score... It was floating around on the internet as kind of a 'hidden treasure' for those obsessed enough to find it, and I will say that it's an -amazing- collection of all of the symphonic music from the film. Given that I love that kinda shit, I'm actually excited that they're officially releasing it.. even if I've had it forever anyway =p But aside from that, I don't think we're getting too much.

We are, however, having a MASSIVE LK celebration party at Rainfurrest this year to commemorate the anniversary, though.. so that'll be fun at least

There are some events at Disney Parks but it's not something I fancy. And I've seen this soundtrack floating around but wasn't paying much attention to it, I guess it's time to dig around the web ;)
I was just hoping for re-re-re-release on Blu-ray with remastered material about how the film came together because I-love-this-stuff. All this creative process behind that and how they had to develop the characters, environment, plot and why the heck they had to work three years on 5min scene ;)

And why always the fun stuff has to happen over the pond? Now I'm proper jealous. But at least I'll have my share of fun watching TLK with Kael and Aaron and trying to get them drunk (which I doubt will be a challenge since I'm always last one standing and slighty-tipsy when everyone else is smashed)

Lol, yeah, I hear ya... though at this point I think they've probably played all their cards on that kind of content for all the other re-releases that they've done of the movie.There might still be something left, but I'm betting it's a stretch by now.

And heh, sounds like something else we have in common... I'm an ungodly heavyweight when it comes to booze... frustratingly so, sometimes. It does come in handy when trying to get the smaller little lions all nice and intoxicated, though =3

I have slight hope that together with this new... TV series we will get something extra. I mean, they can't completely ignore the rest of the fan base.

Ughh... don't get me started again on that TV series... XD =p

And heh, yeah.... I'm a big Irish guy and I've been drinking since I was a little kid, so I hold my own pretty well... Lets just say I have something of a reputation among furrs on this side of the pond! I'm -always- up for a fun, friendly challenge, though =p

Besides this small chat here I don't know much about you. Of course, I heard rumours but I don't believe every bit of nonsense that gets rumoured about. I am the type who prefers to know the person in real life ;)

I actually had 2 soundtracks on a cassettes XD Damn I'm such last millennium kid XD one had plenty of Hans Zimmer music, the other just songs from the movie... Good times with my old Walkman XD Today's kids don't even know what both cassette and Walkman are XD

Had a lion king marathon today to celebrate. Blu-ray for maximum enjoyment. :D HAPPY LION KING DAY!

I was 8 years old when The Lion King came out in theatres though it bothers me to this day that I never saw it in theatres. D:

I have had enough "I feel old moments" as of late...to the point were it doesn't bother me.

I can still love my cartoons and enjoy life as if I was still young...well...actually nowadays I can do it BETTER then I could when I was younger.

I still remember it like it was yesterday. I even remember the fact the movie was released twice--once in June, then again later in August or September. There was supposed to have been something objectionable (language?) that had to be redone though I never found out what. Do you know?

There have been many more amazing animated movies which have come out in those 20 years, whether from Disney or other studios, and I love them all, but Lion King will always rule above the rest, for so many reasons which really need no enumeration since it's just preaching to the choir here. :P

Oh and yes, Lion King was how I got into furry too, albeit roundabout. ^_^
