The most depressing thing is, you can't get to these people. They just give a shit. ._.

well since it's twitter, i can at least report the shit out of their account and maybe get them banned.
But that probably won't stop them from creating a new account and look for another character =/ since the consequences are more or less none

Sadly, probably yes... Wish their IP could be banned. xD

If you can find it on Google, it must be free to use, right? I just don't get why people do things like this........

They're probably right...especially if the 'sona is a popular one--I've heard ViindictivesPet and JinxyFalina have had their characters pirated and used on other sites before, too.

I've had this happen around 30 times +. Yeah. It's creepy. It's being a stalker. When you can't be who you are you have issues. 90% of the time they'll do everything in their power to make it seem like you're the fake if you catch them despite obvious proof.
Sometimes they do it to get the attention you do. Some do it because they know your stuff sells so they can sell yours too.

oh my ~_~ i guess this is stuff you have to deal with non stop when you post stuff on the internet.
thankfully this is the first time someone impersonates me, others just use my sheep for roleplay on flist or post my stuff without sources etc. that's kinda easier to handle than someone trying to be you.
also *knocks on wood* noone tried to sell my stuff yet (at least not that i know of)

I have been thinking of requesting artists put giant watermarks down the middle of commission-sized versions I upload because I hear horror stories of people stealing characters for themselves and doing creepy things.

Then all of a sudden you get random people private messaging you, asking if you want to put on diapers or something weird because that's what someone has been doing with your identity, and now everyone thinks you are into that.

That sucks man, I don't know what to say. These people are losers. They're scum. They're thieves. That's the reality of it. This fandom is about limitless imagination. It's not like making characters in an RPG or a franchise world that has limited races, or a specific universe or world where you have rules to abide by.

You can make any character you want in this fandom. You can be a talking spaceship with ears, if you wanted to be one. Yet these people can't even be bothered to come up with their own ideas. They won't even borrow ideas. They'll just steal someone's hard work and pretend to be them.

Yeah its disturbing and creepy... but also it's really sad that this is the s state of youth culture. "See something you like? Don't get inspired and make something cool and unique of your own! That is too much work. Just steal it and claim that it's your's"
