RWBY (series)

I've been following all the creations of Rooster Teeth since the very beginning of the company, but I've completely ignored one their major productions so far. They are doing this animeish, stylized 3D-animation series, which is quite reminiscent of some final fantasy worlds.
I watched some of the trailers when they first announced it, and thought it looked utter rubbish. Mostly just cute girls in skimpy clothes in completely over the top fighting scenes. They do have one of the best animators in the world working for them, so admittedly the animation quality is excellent, and I do often enjoy cute girls in skimpy clothes, but overall it didn't seem very appealing.
I had a boring moment the other day so I decided to watch the first episode to see just how rubbish it is...Well, actually turns out it's not too bad. I ended up watching the first season in one sitting :). It is just as over the top as I expected, but it has fairly interesting story and at times it's even moderately funny. The last 2 episodes of the first season are actually really well constructed. I really like the voice acting too. And the ridiculous weapon designs. Ever seen nunchakus made of two shotguns? :)
So how is this relevant to FA? Big part of the story involves a racial minority known as the Faunus. They are basically humans with some animal bits. No explanation is given as to why, but it makes for a good story device, and apparently it's not possible to do anime without putting cat ears on some characters. So I figured some of you might enjoy it too.
Here's the first episode.
Their website runs like shit. Ad-blocker of some kind is recommended. That's the only thing I really hate about them.
Edit: btw, the "black" and "yellow" trailers contrain some story material as well.

Ok, maybe this gave me my inspiration to give RBWY, i dint agree much visually using 2D gestures and tropes in 3D, but it took me 2-3 shots to actually like KLK...
