Every year I set on this date and reflect, to remind myself of who we are and what we as a people will give up for each other and for what we hold sacred.
Every year I set and cry, not for myself but for those who lived through the terror of that day. I cry for our children and prey they will never have to experience the same emotions but I also pray they learn and remember what we have gone through. I can only hope that should the need ever arise that they find the courage to do what is needed. In honour of the events and people whose lives were touched by the tragedy on that day I humbly offer this prayer if you will ...

" To live in the hearts we leave behind is to never die. Hold close the memories of those who have gone before us and let them live on through us all.….. Never forget what they gave up to live the idea of peace. We must teach our children and keep alive who we are and the sacrifices we have made. Let us each remember, let not one of us forget"
