Off to a new start!

Hello again everyone! This page has been inactive for a pretty long time now so I thought I would try to see if we can get it up and rolling again.
The group's new admin is:
Craulf
Compared to most people I know, I'm fairly new to the magic scene. I started playing around three years ago, just before Innistrad was released. I just recently went to my first GP and got destroyed, but less so than I thought I would be! Thanks to the help of some (rather pushy) friends, I'm slowly working my way into playing more competitively, but I also have a casual group to avoid the stress and play for fun.
I'll try my best to manage the page and would appreciate ideas to help things move along! We can try to get some tournies running again soon if people show interest. I hope we can all have a great time!

I started around Mirrodin's release in 2003, left and came back For R.2.R. My decks are modern and legacy legal builds, as I don't live anywhere close for Standard.
I enjoy adding my two cents about anything magic related tho I'm more competitive constructed than anything else.
I've been playing since Ravnica: City of Guilds, but I just play casually with friends.
I make decks around themes more than mechanics. For example, I have made all ten Ravnica Guilds, some Innistrad factions like Humans, Vampires and Warewolves, and now I'm focusing on some of the Khans in Takir.
But you don't need to be an old fogey to love the game, nor do you need to play in a tourney setting, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
There are certainly plenty things to love about this game, and it's always awesome to see how much there is to appreciate every here and there
XD I'm the same in the fact I've got everything I need from Khans of Tarkir, but I will just buy a pack or two for Pack Wars for fun
but Magic will be a great step-in to get to know more furries with the same non-18+ related interests :D
but, about the new set, the Khans, you got a khan deck? or what Khan catches your attention the most?
Apart from that, Khans has some amazing casual decks to play with. Have I mentioned how much I love this set? Morph is absolutely hilarious when you swing with 5 morph creatures, morph a blocked one into a wall, and morph an unblocked one into a 6 power creature. The outlast mechanic is really nice in the multiplayer games I play with in my group because I can sit there and get beefier. Raid is alright, ferocity is alright, Prowess is friggin amazing after a couple of creatures or spells and delve is kinda nice. Still love the set. I may have mentioned that :3
Name's Jasmine, used to be a YuGiOh player, then fell out of love with the game when it became obvious that the designers didn't care enough to test what they were creating before releasing it then insta-banning cards, especially when many of my favorite decks became seriously impaired by an ever expanding banlist
My friends got into Magic, then slowly, as I was passed a Sliver deck to play against them, I grew to love it, finding favorite creatures to build around, hungrily researching more and more on the stories, missing out on entering Game Day for Theros, but quickly immersed myself in the game's story and began creating roleplay narratives with my friends over the course of the Hero's Path
I've since branched out from Standard into Commander, running Captain Sissay on a Weatherlight deck to include some of my favorite Green/White cards and a Kemba, Kha Regent deck to have fun with the Mirrodin storyline cards, currently now I've got a Hanna, Ship's Navigator deck nearing completion - paid a pretty penny to find the Tyrese Nielsen art card, does serious justice to Hanna - and working on a Mirri the Cursed deck as well.
Other than that? I rock a werewolf deck for Modern, gotta love that funky transform ability~
I'm a lil disappointed Khans of Tarkir has been declared as not having a book to go along with, or any story side event like Hero's Path, but, far as I'm concerned, it just leaves things nice and loose for us to make our own stories as we walk the planes =B
Nice to meet you all!
