Werewolves!...and other things. But mostly werewolves

Hello again and I'm back for my magic set update!
We're back to Innistrad (which I'm happy about because it was the set I started playing in) and everything has been re-corrupted so you know what that means? Werewolves! And something about vampires and zombies and crud but whatever. Let's be honest here. Werewolves. Every furry I know has at some point built a werewolf deck so we all know what the real allure here is. Joking aside, the limited/casual format looks pretty good and plays well with Innistrad's last block, which is always nice.
From a more competitive standpoint, new set means new rotation and goodbye Khans (I'll miss you, my favorite block...), or at least most of it. We still have Dragons (which are as equally awesome as werewolves in my eyes) but thankfully the reign of Rhino is over! At least in Standard. The standard metagame is still very unclear and we'll see where Innistrad takes us. Modern on the other hand...Rhino for days again. With the banning of Eldrazi and the unbanning of Ancestral Vision and Sword of the Meek, we'll be seeing A LOT of blue control decks and thoptors for days. Maybe infinite turns? Who knows!
I'm still working on something cheap and hilarious for Standard and might make a couple changes to modern as well. Anything you're looking forward to?

The set basically blew BfZ and Oath out though in terms of flavor and fun, in my opinion. Not that they're bad, just....SOI seems a lot more cohesive and fun to play for people.
Honestly, I think part of the problem with BfZ is a lot of people got burnt out on the set just because of how much product was opened in the mad dash for Expeditions. So price-wise any decent rares aren't worthwhile and while the set as a whole wasn't BAD, the majority of it just....didnt really do much to change Modern or Standard. (excluding the Eldrazi, of course, but lets be honest only like 4-6 actual cards are being used from the block)
I feel like the same thing happened with Theros, though- good story, super good execution flavor-wise/lore-wise, but boring cards that mostly ended up falling under the radar once rotation hit. Unlike Theros, however, BfZ had to live up to the hype of original Zendikar block, which may as well have been impossible lmao
